I will say I have noticed some Gen Z women wearing tights like they are leggings as an outer layer - there was that whole tights as trousers /pants trend in 2023

Well that’s the crux of the matter isn’t it.

You think remove doesn’t mean, well, remove.
to take something or someone away from somewhere, or off something. The men came to remove the rubbish from the backyard.

All we do is adjust our clothing by pushing down trousers & knickers or lifting a skirt/dress and pushing down knickers, we aren’t removing any of our clothing. I do remove my coat and hang it with my purse if there is a hook on the back of the door.

I have never worn tights/panty hose, a slip or shapewear, most women don’t these days. My grandmother did.

It feels like you’re adding in extra layers that are not worn by the majority.
They do have shapewear for men as well as women, so that’s a wash.

I do remove clothing
I don’t take it off but I do remove it

If I don’t remove my knickers I can’t wee
If I don’t remove my trousers from my backside I can’t wee
Men don’t need to remove their pants though

We are not talking about completely stripping off here

Off the top of my head.

Tights. Shorts. Body suits that fasten at the crotch . Shapewear. Petticoats/slips, disposable incontinence pants.

All pretty common things for many women to wear under their clothing for various reasons. I didn’t see the original thread op is talking about and I wouldn’t jus in my opinion straight to calling someone a pervert, but I would find it unusual that an adult woman genially can’t think to what extra layers are commonly worn by women.

I’d be more likely to assume they were very young and maybe a bit sheltered if they really are unaware of other possible layers women may wear.  But in the context of a discussion on the feminism board and about women’s rights etc, I can kind of understand why someone hasn’t been given the benefit of the doubt.

If that’s the worst you have on the OP, then it’s a bit hypocritical to call that nasty given the other stuff said to her.

Besides, anyone who thinks we actually remove layers of clothing would fall under the definition of not knowing how we pee. Saying women don’t take much longer than men is hardly being ignorant of how we pee.

There is no need for this kind of toxicity.

Do they? Most women wear just underwear and a skirt or trousers. Most men wear just underwear and trousers. Even I can’t see what all these additional mysterious layers are other than an occasional pair of tights. What else is there?

I haven’t run across any of these yet. In that rare case I would agree.

However, the name calling of pervert happens to posters who have not stated they were cross dressing men using women’s toilets. Posters who are women.

Given demographics, the assumption should be the poster that is disagreeing is a woman (95% of mumsnet users), not a cross dressing man that also uses women’s toilets (1% of the population, and probably 0.01% of MN users given its reputation as a bastion of common sense feminism).

After asking repeatedly what women were wearing/removing when in the toilet, you were asked:

Those statements do not equal being called a man or a pervert.

There are male posters who have made clear that they dress as women and use women’s toilets, it seems a reasonable word to use in that case.

I am very surprised that a woman wouldn’t know the extra layers women have to take off when peeing. I think I’d assume that a person was being at best obtuse and at worst a perverted male if they were looking for that clarity from women on the internet. I haven’t seen your thread @TheHateUGive so I hope you’ve had some time to reflect since.

You don't know who is who on the internet. There are plenty of men masquerading as women to get their kicks. I am always suspicious of any poster asking how other posters do xyz, whenever that xyz relates to anywhere intimate on the body. This is all that's happening here OP.

To avoid accusations in future, you can instead write what you do, or what you think other women do, rather than ask people to reveal what they do. "I only have pants and trousers - I don't understand why other women would wear more layers?" is less creepy than "Tell me what you're wearing."

But the point of the thread is name calling posters as perverts is not ok.
