When scrolling I keep getting Amazon opening up, no actual Amazon on the threads to click

Out of nowhere just get a. Amazon page taken over, which I have to close.
There's no ad or link I'm accidentally clicking in sight.
Anyone else. Just the last couple of days.

we have all updated mn with last update and still does it a week after that update and many of us on iPhones

Not auto opening for me, but so huge and repetitive that I’m hitting it by accident and being sent to Amazon every second scroll. Infuriating. Please make it smaller!!

I’ve not seen a single Amazon ad this morning. Yet it’s happened when there’s no ads, or I’m just scrolling (again no ads), or just reading. I’m very careful to never click on any ads as I’m scrolling anyway, always made sure when using the app, so I know I’m not clicking on any ads even if they are there. I’m mainly seeing mn ads today anyway, not a single one for Amazon. Just happening randomly to me, like you sometimes more than once in the same thread. Think I’m done for the day now. I thought it was just me till I came across this as I was going down active and to see it hasn’t been fixed even a week on and it’s happening to a lot of people just puts me off now because although I was certain before that I wasn’t somehow clicking ads accidentally (even when there weren’t any!), I’m even more annoyed by it now because I know it’s just going to keep on happening and I just can’t be bothered. I do wonder how much revenue @mnhq are getting from Amazon, tbh…

First couple of times it happened and I clicked back to mn I thought maybe the ads had changed or disappeared but then it just started happening randomly even when there are no ads at all! So it’s very definitely still a big issue that you have not fixed. It’s really putting me off my morning browse now because it is so annoying! I’ve actually realised that it’s happened a lot more than the 5+ I estimated so far because of the number of times it’s happened randomly during the threads when there aren’t even any ads and I’m either just reading or scrolling so not even clicking anything at all. Out of interest @mnhqhow much business do you do with Amazon? Is this why it’s not being fixed??

Any update? It's nothing to do with clicking in the ad area, it is openening of its own accord, the app is basically unusable rn

Hi all,

We're sorry this issue has been affecting so many of you.

Just letting you know that we released a new version of the iOS app this morning that means these ads should only open if you deliberately click on them.

The app should update automatically, but if you're still experiencing problems please go to the App store and click on the Update button.

We're currently testing the new build on Android and aim to get that released as soon as possible.

I’m on iOS app and this is happening to me. Today. Various (5+ ish) times it has happened to me already in maybe an hour or less browsing!

Christ this Amazon opening on the app is bloody ridiculous. It’s making the app unusable and I know this has been ‘fixed’ multiple times to no avail.
