So, you think any discussion as to whether a person might be male yet being said to be female where sex matters and giving reasons for that concern to be mocking.

And that those raising valid points are to be demonised because you, personally, don’t consider it reasonable. Good to know you cannot see the difference.

That the thread was deleted is a sign of moderation working.

Sometimes the moderation team will allow a thread to continue with their attention to see how it progresses because the thread may not be unreasonable in itself. They will take action when they have judged something has gone too far or the OP was not posting in the spirit of the site. However, they are usually a good judge of reasonable standards.

I would suggest that you report any threads you deem to be ‘mocking’ and if it isn’t deleted, there is an indication as to whether your personal standard is reasonable or overly sensitive.

Making direct accusations against other posters breaks mumsnet talk guidelines as it is a personal attack.

Edited to add: It's also weird behaviour from someone who claims that it's horrible to claim someone is something they're not - as it's exactly the behaviour on display here.

Has that thread been deleted, perhaps? Can’t find any park run threads in FWR that seem to fit the claims, but I may be using the wrong key words in the advanced search. If there are people on ‘our’ side who are bullying, I’d like to see and take a view.

I know we are a mixed group, politically and in terms of our motivations, but I would hope I would call out bullying if I saw it. Despite what TRAs would say, that would even involve stepping in if I observed a transgender person being bullied or harassed in a public space as I ‘know they exist’ and believe their human rights are equal to mine in that they should be able to sit in a public space or park without targeted abuse… I just don’t want TWs in my loos/changing rooms/sports, my language policed, or my own rights overridden or eroded. And I don’t want this stuff in schools - anywhere at any time. I am fairly sure that the posters I have interacted with here for the last 2 years feel largely the same.

We probably also need a definition of ‘mocking someone’s appearance’ too. As opposed to discussing whether there are observable male body cues that would be an indicator that there may be an issue.

The Blind Dates thread was maybe a couple of weeks ago.

The club runner thread, maybe last year? I don't keep a record of these things.

Certain regulars were all over them. Tbf, the club runner thread was fairly balanced, as i recall it, with some people arguing that it was disgusting, and others 'the trans people made us do it'.

As I and others have noted, the threads have been deleted, but they were allowed to stand for ages.

When was this? In the last week, the last year, the last decade? Which regular FWR posters were on it?

I would probably have ignored something about sport or about the Guardian, so didn't see it, but also don't remember any discussion of it.

I don't think we do 'party lines' here and as the saying goes 'recollections may vary'.

Thankfully with sporting organisations finally respecting the female category this kind of speculation will stop and women don't need to be hyperalert to being gaslighted and lied to.

It was allowed to stand for absolutely ages though, long enough for the person in question to find it, join the thread and be upset at all the posts.
Even that didn't stop it though and there was still more posts forthcoming before it (finally) went.

You are being a bit daft here with the "party line" rubbish. Just because we (general) didn't see it doesn't mean it didn't exist, but to say it was regular FWR posters who made the thread is a bit of a reach don't you think?

Complaining about posters behaviour while using reaction emojis to bully posters is rather hypocritical I would have thought. Perhaps you really aren’t a good judge on what is reasonable behaviour and what is not.

However it may be worth you checking the party line, which is clearly that these threads don't happen at all.

I remember one thread and I also remember many people, including myself, saying that guessing about someone's sex with no proof either way, was wrong and the opening post accusation was nasty. I fail to see how that thread is an example of trans bullying behaviour when the majority was telling the OP to stop and defending the athlete in question.

I for one am very glad sex testing has been reintroduced so that women can rely on sporting associations to ensure fair and safe sports.
