I've not witnessed much transphobia. I have seen plenty of women explaining and thoughtfully explaining their stance and wanting female only spaces. This isn't transphobia.

This is another misrepresentation of probably what happened and what is happening on this thread.

people are not denying that there might have been a thread about the topic you have said. They are pushing back on your representation of what happened on the thread. It may not even have been deleted for the reason that some people might wish to assert it was deleted for. If the woman entered the thread, she may have asked for it to be deleted because it might have contained personal information that amounted to doxing.

People may also be doubting the veracity of your claims considering how you have described behaviour of others and of situations that don’t appear creditable and are a reasonable representation of what happened and what was said.

For instance, you claim that the position of regular posters was “position was ‘if there weren’t trans people, we wouldn’t have to do this’.”. I have significant doubts that this is a true representation of the position.

Firstly, you have made another negative generalisation that would not fit the opinion of many regular posters. They would not make a generalisation that included female people running in the correct sex class for the competition. They would have stated that it was MALE people competing in female sports categories that had created a situation where people don’t fully trust that a person winning female sports events are female athletes. And sports organisations have allowed this situation to happen.

Secondly, it is a misrepresentation because it is not because a group of people exist. It is because a group of male people have chosen to be disrespectful towards female people and enter sports created to provide female people with fair competition. These male people have done this despite it being widely understood and conclusive that there is no way to remove male physical advantage.

The argument isn’t ’if there weren’t trans people…’. There’s no issue with trans people (at least, not here). The issue is if people didn’t try and use the single sex spaces of the wrong sex.

Trans people have every right to get on with life, just as everyone else does.
But following the law.

And I’ll campaign to make sure the law reflects preserving single sex spaces- women’s prisons, sport etc.

I’m a bit worried about this data scraping milarkey. I’m not important to anyone, I’m not a ‘name’, but I’ve failed to consistently name change. I have tried to separate out my names for different threads, but have the attention span of a gnat. I’d be very easy to identify, I suspect.
