Mumsnet shutting down Amazon music if I open a thread.

I’ve contacted HQ via email but none of the suggestions have worked so I thought I’d ask here in the hope someone has experience of how to fix this.

This morning I was listening to music as normal on Amazon music and opened mumsnet to read threads. My music stopped. I thought it was a blip but it’s refused to work all day if mumsnet threads are open.
I’ve deleted and reinstalled both Amazon music and mumsnet apps. I’ve turned it off and back on again. Force closed. Cleared the cache.No VPN. Both apps updated.

I’m on iPhone and running iOS 26.3.1(a).

Has anybody experienced this and know how to fix it please?

Still not fixed…

It seemed OK for me a couple of days ago after doing a second app update - but my music has gone off again as soon as I opened a thread just now Hmm

Hi everyone. App Store rollouts can sometimes take a little while to reach everyone. If you’re still having problems, please check whether there’s an update available in the App Store, as you may not have received the latest version just yet. We've tested it on the iOS app and it seems to be fixed but do let us know.

Still happening for me with BBC Sounds on iPhone. I can open app but music stops as soon as I click on a thread

So far, so good for me but I’ll test it when out and about to be sure it has fixed it.

So many problems with the app since all the adverts became so dominant.

I have the opposite. When using Mumsnet. Suddenly on the Amazon app.

Losing the will with this app… same things is happening to me with the music. I’m using iOS 26.4.2. Doesn’t matter if it’s radio, Spotify or Apple Podcasts, opening the app cuts it off.

Between that, and the sentences in some posts being cut off, and the titles of some threads being invisible, there’s a lot of annoying little things on the app making it increasingly frustrating to use.

Your app is causing major issues if it’s stopping EV charging! I’m really pissed off. Go and ask your developers what they have changed recently and fix the fault.

Yes, this! I have enough irritating life admin jobs piled up, I don’t need a to-do list from MN as well 😂 just fix the bloody fault.

Mine keeps doing it with audible listening to an audiobook. It’s really pissing me off and wanting to delete the Mumsnet app!

I really don’t think it’s any ad in particular: it happens on every single thread that I open. Every single time. The latest update has definitely not fixed it.

Extremely annoying, but on the plus side, it has made me do other things on my daily commute 🤷‍♀️

Bizarrely if I am charging my car via the App it stops if I open a thread on here. I was about to contact the manufacturer as I thought there was a problem till I saw this thread and put two and two together !

Yes same with YouTube (I have YouTube premium which allows you to minimize your video and play in the corner whilst on other websites. It’s cutting it off whereas it never used to

Nope, still not fixed for me.

I’ve just updated the app. iPhone 17 pro, running iOS 26.4.2.

I restarted my phone just for good measure but nada, Apple music still cuts out as I scroll down a thread ConfusedHmm

Morning all,

Just letting you know that we released a new version of the iOS app this morning that fixes the issues with audio cutting out. The app should update automatically, but if you're still experiencing problems please go to the App store and click on the Update button.

We're currently testing the new build on Android and aim to get that released as soon as possible.

What about through the browser. This isn’t only an app problem. It is rather urgent.

My app appears to have updated and whilst it doesn’t immediately cut off now, it still does. I don’t think the fix has worked. All apps with sound. iPhone.
