FWR being trolled by a user called AidaP

Hi MNHQ can you please address the issue of a certain poster called AidaP who is not participating in debate he is just trolling.

to be clear this person is a trans woman who has been convicted of violence and is posting promotion of acts of violence against women elsewhere.

in particular there is one elsewhere about using a roughly hewn rolling pin to rape women.

you realy need to look in to him it is just so not on that he is being allowed to bother us here.

I'm not outraged by the majority of it. Just not going to interact where it doesnt seem worthwhile.

GlovedhandsCecilia · 11/04/2026 10:58

Ive literally never said that!

I post to share my views. I'm not all that interested in peoples views on my views. Especially 16 separate views of my views. And especially where it descended into "you're a man" "you hate women" etc etc. I have.. actually nobody in my life plays those games.

I communicate with a diverse group of Black people with a wide variety of opposing opinions and views. That's just not how we operate, even on topics we all feel extremely passionate about. If you all learn to communicate appropriately, then maybe I'll take more time to read more of the posts

If you all learn to communicate appropriately, then maybe I'll take more time to read more of the posts

Is this more appropriate?

NoWordForFluffy · 11/04/2026 11:01

The faux outrage is laughable really.

Why bother to post if you’re not going to read replies or respond to people?

What’s the purpose for you? I may be mistaken, but I thought I read you say that you were here because you’re GC and wanted to find out more about what other GC people thought and felt? In which case, you’re not going to do that if you simply plop your own thoughts, don’t engage in any discussion (other than somehow also managing to find any posts you think attack you and shouting back/reporting), are you?

Which leaves the other possibilities - that you’re just here to tell us all how silly we are with no attempt to engage, or you’re just here to disrupt.

What are you actually here for, and does it include listening to views that are different to your own?

Won't be doing that when there are pages and pages left. I just ignore the person/people spamming me with quotes. If I have 5 or 6 notifications from you, youre fixated and I'm not interested.

So on the one hand @GlovedhandsCecilia you say:

Nope because women don't inherently need safeguarding and I dont support that likd of archaic misogyny.

And yet, AS shows you saying this on another thread:

As a woman, I pretty much assume most strange men are dangerous because men cause so.much harm. It isn't even most men but it is enough men to make me wary of all men. I am also aware that society excuses this behaviour in men so they get away with it.

So you're just here to argue the toss, aren't you?

If you are going to argue, at least have the courtesy to read what other posters have written in reply to your arguments!

Nice spot.

Nothing quite like someone displaying a spot of doublethink to remind me to use Advanced Search more often.

GlovedhandsCecilia · 11/04/2026 09:20

Nope. I came back to more than 10 notifications so I dont read any of them. I just saw that vile speculation on this page. I did see they had quoted me multiple times and that points to a level of fixation I'm not interested in encouraging either.

I reply to posts as I scroll down the thread. That's why you get none from me for ages, whilst I do other things, and then several at once when I read Mumsnet.

Who made you the police of how to use Mumsnet?

BIWI · 11/04/2026 10:00

AS is a very useful tool. Also shows just how much hate Cecilia has for girls and women. (As if that weren't evidenced enough on this thread!)

I also don't believe they're here to post in good faith, given the contradictions in the posts I've just read.

If you had been raped, you'd know why women are vulnerable to men.

You are familiar with "if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it's probably a duck". If you post like someone who has breezed through life without ever facing male violence, then I will infer, not assume, that you have never faced male violence.

You clearly don't have a rebuttal for any of my points about why women are vulnerable compared to men, because you've resorted to manufactured outrage and personal attacks.

Thanks BIWI.

Maybe there is a disconnect in articulating how laws and policies support that fear and that those fears are recognised and used to create those laws and policies ?

I do think sometimes we should refrain from posting certain thoughts about a persons personal experience or lack of regarding sexual violence, and i am going to ignore the inference that all white people are racist.

I would rather this thread is not deleted.

You seem to be very selective in which posts you ignore from the same posters. Funny that.

So tell me - these white people that make you unsafe. Does that include white men?

Notifications are just a way of alerting you that people have responded to your posts. If you have a lot just go back to the point where you left the thread (bookmarks are an excellent function when they’re working properly) and read the thread from there to see how the discussion has gone since you last visited the thread. Or just turn off notifications altogether if they cause you stress.

It’s very odd to assume that posters are fixated with you because they replied to you. And, dare I say, a little rude too to say that you aren’t going to read the points addressing your assertion. Just repeating the assertion without a rationale isn’t really moving the discussion forward.

Anyway, I have the answer to my previous question. Distraction and derailing is your choice of engagement style.

She made a point about why someone may not understand the needs of some women. Do you see that as a personal attack?

If you see it as an attack, report it and the mods will decide.

I see it as an attack, yes. Thanks for the tip.

And suddenly MNHQ moderating is infallible (on a thread about how it isn’t)

Of course it fails at time to time.

I expect the issue with the poster those thread is about though is recognising whether it is abuse and intended abuse. His straight out and easy to recognise attacks have all been immediatley deleted. Those were never the issue under the scope of this thread as far as I could see.

GlovedhandsCecilia · 11/04/2026 09:25

Helleofabore · 11/04/2026 09:23

A good thing then that safeguarding will continue to happen all around you and that you will be safer for it.

No, men arent the people that make me most unsafe. white people are.

Assuming that someone disgsres with you because they have never been raped is completely vile. You are so entrenched in this issue that normal decency has escaped you.

Any women who cares about other women wouldnt ever speculate that a woman must never have experienced sexual.abuse and that is why they feel differently than they do. That's some misogynistic bullshit.

Care to address the excellent points that poster made in refuting your assertion that women as a sex class are not inherently vulnerable compared to men as a sex class?

Or are you going to use the normal tactic that FWR detractors use which is to ignore the well written post and criticise the poster instead. We usually assume that’s because posters can’t refute the argument so they attempt distraction and derailing.

I think the tactic is that if all else fails, launch an ad hom attack that means you don’t have to consider anything that person says because you reject them as a person. Rather than reading and responding to what they said and evaluate the point even if the words are not those you want to read, as in you feel that they are objectionable words being used.

GlovedhandsCecilia · 11/04/2026 09:21

Helleofabore · 11/04/2026 09:17

Certainly a probable much wider use colloquialism than ‘fuck x with a splintery rolling pin’.

Well quite. I wonder if it would have been more acceptable to say 'Tell me you've never been fucked with a splintery rolling pin for having GC views without telling me...'?
