Hi MNHQ can you please address the issue of a certain poster called AidaP who is not participating in debate he is just trolling.

to be clear this person is a trans woman who has been convicted of violence and is posting promotion of acts of violence against women elsewhere.

in particular there is one elsewhere about using a roughly hewn rolling pin to rape women.

you realy need to look in to him it is just so not on that he is being allowed to bother us here.

Ive just actually read the post, seen the context of it and now I have.gone from thinking the person made this rape comment to seeing what they said properly for the first time and saw they used a common colloquialism instead.

So again these GC people have pushed me from erring on towards GC perspectives, to thinking the GC people make shit up.

Jesus Christ. I'll have a Laverne Cox tattoo next.

FaceBothered · 09/04/2026 16:34

Can I just ask a quick question without sounding thick? 😊

How does anyone know that's the same person on Mumsnet?

Or have they said so on their other SM accounts?

If those posts were on MN. Then that poster would be banned.

They are not on MN though.

Exactly!

Like what's so difficult to grasp about that?

The posts are appalling, aren't they?

Perhaps you haven't seen what he thinks of GC women. Here's an example of the sort of thing this violent man posts - they're appalling, aren't they?

What do you think about AidaP's publicly declared views of GC women @GlovedhandsCecilia , given this is a thread about him?

Hello @Hedgehogforshort thanks for posting. We understand the strength of feeling here. Allegations of violent or abusive behaviour, wherever they’re said to take place, are clearly very serious, and it’s entirely reasonable that posters would be concerned about who they’re interacting with on the boards.

It may be helpful to explain how we approach situations like this, though.
Our moderation is necessarily grounded in what happens on Mumsnet. We look at behaviour on the site, including patterns over time and we will act where users are breaching Talk guidelines. That doesn’t mean that concerns are dismissed, but the threshold for action has to be mainly grounded in what we can evidence here.

We’d also ask posters to be mindful about repeating or amplifying very serious allegations about other users on the boards. Even when well-intentioned, that can escalate situations quickly and make it harder for us to moderate fairly.

Please do continue to report posts that you think cross the line, that’s the most helpful way to bring specific issues to our attention. We are keeping an eye on this in the meantime.

Thanks all.

Can we get some clarification about FWR..ive read more than one post of members there claiming that is a board for GC people whereas the site description says its a place to discuss feminist topics specifically related to sex and gender. So which is it because a lot of members seem to think people who arent GC are trolling just by giving their views.

Hi Becky

Thanks for this. However, if a poster has been abusive and their very presence on the board is continuing that abuse, is that not a safeguarding issue where posters are being subjected to abuse because the poster continues ?

Good point.

I did not e mail as a lone voice i posted here to get some support for mine and others point of view.

If you want MN to respond to at thread here you need to report it. It may be “site stuff” but it is not monitored.

SirChenjins · 09/04/2026 12:10

I agree OP. The behaviour of this poster goes way beyond a difference of opinion - he's a violent man who has specifically targeted MN and been allowed to continue.

Helleofabore · 09/04/2026 12:06

Bagsintheboot · 09/04/2026 11:06

There have been a few high-profile posters who post things on other SM platforms which wouldn't fly on MN. I don't really know how much that influences MNs moderation of their posts.

If they were posting that they were going to come over to MN to wind people up that would be a different matter!

I think we have to be careful not to confuse disagreement / differing views for trolling.

He also posts links to threads where OPs are asking for advice and support. Posting links is not the issue, it is that he has posted the links while then also declaring that she is hateful in someway. Posting links in that way is not being done to gather support for that poster at all.

He has also posted on that same thread on FWR with an offer to meet with the woman and have a discussion. That is a rather clear lack of boundaries and it is very concerning considering the other posts on the other site.

Helleofabore · 09/04/2026 11:53

The issue is not as simple as 'he was threatening on another site.'

He has spent weeks on FWR calling us bigots collectively. The post he put up on blue sky was suggesting all bigots (including named people) should be violent sexually assaulted.

He has also then lied about what he posted, laughed on FWR threads that women have been distressed by the post and continues to post knowing that we know what he has said and done. The admits that he posted it. This is abusive behaviour. It is distressing to see him continue to do this.
