FWR being trolled by a user called AidaP

Hi MNHQ can you please address the issue of a certain poster called AidaP who is not participating in debate he is just trolling.

to be clear this person is a trans woman who has been convicted of violence and is posting promotion of acts of violence against women elsewhere.

in particular there is one elsewhere about using a roughly hewn rolling pin to rape women.

you realy need to look in to him it is just so not on that he is being allowed to bother us here.

How are people banned for posting fake-but-amusing parking threads but a bloke that talks about raping women with a splintery rolling-pin seen as 'oh so hilar' on a women's forum? 🤨

And women getting out their popcorn and saying people are unhinged for pointing it out?

I'm currently on the fence re my view of a ban (I dislike bans generally) but getting popcorn out? Defending the guy? Seriously?

Those people are unhinged. Disordered people aren’t known for their self awareness, which may be why so many of them have apparently gravitated towards this bizarre ideology.

Hedgehogforshort · 09/04/2026 22:13

@BettyBooper Yep total twits.

I would agree.

I really am glad you've made this thread @Hedgehogforshort and I'm shocked to read that this person has been posting screenshots from here on his own SM. That really shows that MN is not a safe space. We already know that but you would hope that certain parts would be off limits.

I'm also a bit shocked that MN staff aren't concerned about this enough to do anything.

I can read cues, however this entire thread has jumped the shark, therefore it is open to examination. 🧐

Can you explain what you mean? This is not a creative or artistic endeavour so i have no clue

OP posts:

Not to mention the most obvious point, which is that we all know full well they're not laughing at all. The ideology is in its death rattle now; the SC ruling, more court cases than I can count, the IOC finally returning to its senses, the new Finnish study and everything else. The walls are a tumbling down, everyone knows it, nobody ever believed it to begin with. As a poster said upthread, we all know this is just a massive distraction attempt.

Hedgehogforshort · 09/04/2026 20:44

Those who come to mock, have no bearing on the purpose of this thread. So kindly just bugger off.

The purpose of this thread is to ask Mumsnet considers where to drawn a line with posters who have maligned intent as demonstrated elsewhere.

I think uniquely this applies to a specific board ergo FWR, where many women have had experience of violent and dangerous men.

I would not wish to have a blanket ban on men on Mumsnet, and i am a member of the FSU. However there is a limit to free speach as recognised in law albeit a high bar.

I think it is entirely within mumsnet gift to ban the poster in question without risk of repercussions.

I usually tolerate the presence of people who think they are women and their handmaidens on the board as it helps for useful debate and information sources.

As an aside i think that the name Mumsnet has clear connotations that fall within the scope of the FWS SC as a service provider.

But that is not yet an avenue that would need pursuit.

i am glad of all the support.

You know, that's something else they're no good at: reading cues.

There's a time and a place for the twirly moustached "mwa ha ha, it all amuses me so" shtick but it's not in a discussion a man who calls to fuck women with splintery wood. I mean, the point of that trope is to do it when discussing something that is actually conceivably funny. It simply doesn't work otherwise. It makes you look like you've walked into the wrong discussion. It's not compatible. It's embarrassing.

Well it’s just more of the tra derailing that’s so popular on here at the moment, isn’t it?

Trying to argue that "fuck bigots with a splintery rolling pin" is perfectly acceptable language is one of the strangest takes that I've heard from the TRA crowd. And that's certainly saying something.

Also worth pointing out that AidaP is fond of screenshotting comments from MN to single out women to mock on his other social media platforms; it's very clear he's not posting here in good faith.

@BeckyAMumsnet we are your product. If women are driven off this platform by threats of sexual violence from men, why would advertisers buy space here any more?

why are you giving him a platform? Why does he matter so much to you?

selffellatingouroborosofhate · 09/04/2026 19:41

GlovedhandsCecilia · 09/04/2026 17:27

Women arent inherently vulnerable adults who need safeguarding. Let's not encourage that line of thinking, please.

Actually, in several key respects we are vulnerable and do need safeguarding.

  • An adult woman typically has the upper body strength of a 12 year old boy, meaning that we cannot fight off a male attacker. We are also usually lighter and shorter, with thinner weaker bones.
  • Said male attacker can choose to weaponise his penis against us, leveraging our own reproductive organs to force us to become pregnant without our consent. This act is otherwise known as "vaginal rape". No woman can leave another person pregnant, and no man can be made pregnant by someone else.

These two physical differences mean that women, as a sex class, have less power than men, and so women do, as a sex class, need to be safeguarded from men. All men, even the nice ones, because we don't know who's nice and who isn't.

selffellatingouroborosofhate · 09/04/2026 19:31

GlovedhandsCecilia · 09/04/2026 17:01

Yes. I have a colleague who says "fuck that/them/her/him with a spiky butt plug".

Please let me know what company you work for so that I know not to apply for a job somewhere so toxic. If I made comments like that at work, I'd be in front of HR faster than you can say "inappropriate sexualised violent language".

selffellatingouroborosofhate · 09/04/2026 19:28

GlovedhandsCecilia · 09/04/2026 16:36

Ive just actually read the post, seen the context of it and now I have.gone from thinking the person made this rape comment to seeing what they said properly for the first time and saw they used a common colloquialism instead.

So again these GC people have pushed me from erring on towards GC perspectives, to thinking the GC people make shit up.

Jesus Christ. I'll have a Laverne Cox tattoo next.

What do you think that "fucking someone with a splintery rolling pin" actually involves? It's a statement of desire to commit injurious sexual assault.

SpidersAreShitheads · 09/04/2026 19:19

Nobody, in the history of MN, has ever said that and been honest. It's a trope trotted out to attempt to discredit FWR posters / the GC perspective. If you really were erring towards GC perspectives, disagreeing with what was being discussed which did not directly refer to the GC arguments really wouldn't be enough to make anybody go, 'Nah, fuck it, TWAW and that's the end of it.'

I don't agree with everything everybody who's GC / a sex realist says. That isn't able to make me disagree with their GC / sex realist views, as they're views I do agree with.

We aren't daft and have seen this trope way too often.

Yep. It's just an inevitable consequence of the fact that GC relies on absolute objective fact. There are very few disputes where one side really is set in absolute objective truth and the other in absolute absurdity, but this is one of them and that's why this tired old method is so transparent.

You might perhaps disagree that calling to fuck women with splintered wood is an actual threat but no honest, good faith person will go from this to "so women do have knobs after all". It's ridiculous. Besides, what decent or honest person would see that debate - is this guy actually threatening women when he shouts about fucking them with splintered rolling pins? - and would decide that the greater offence lay with the women who said he was, and choose to align with the splintered rolling pin dude? Even if you don't think it's a threat, it's a perverse and sick thing to say, and it's certainly not comparable with taking it at face value.

Hedgehogforshort · 09/04/2026 19:06

@GlovedhandsCecilia It is hard to determine from your strange minimising arguments where you are coming from. I have however no wish to get personal with you.

My profession for many years was DVA/SV, CSA.

I can promise you that the type of language the person complained about is a significant indicator of risk to both women and children.

Of course, it’s laughable to opine with any seriousness ‘I’m GC - no, really - or I was leaning that way, but now I’ve seen one or two posts I don’t agree with amongst lots of others, I’m going to do a complete about face and take the opposite view’.

All it lacks is a ‘So there! Nerr, nerr, nerr, nerr, nerr!’ and a raspberry to complete the 6 year old psychology the poster supposedly espouses in seriousness.

Totally transparent that anybody acting in this way was never GC in the first place. And somewhat pathetic to think any adult would fall for it.
