The moderation policy here is pretty weird and never makes much sense to me. I’ve been on many forums over the years and never seen so many deleted comments and threads. Then you get obviously really dodgy stuff that just gets left.

People can be absolutely vile on here but mild swearing or name calling and the post is gone and you get a temp ban (bitter experience 😄). My view is we’re adults and should be able to challenge people but obviously the bosses disagree.

I never assume a particular poster is female, especially if posting about teenage sex in the perv topic.

Well yes, that was always sort of the point to it.

Anyone wanting actual advice on parenting sexually actively teenagers would post on the teenagers forum, or AIBU, or chat, or relationships. The sex forum is aimed at providing people with wank fodder. Nobody expects real advice there.

My working assumption would be that if newname poster wanted to get advice from other parents on young teens engaging in risky behaviour they would do so in one of the many topics for parenting/teenagers etc

An opinion. Not sure why we need to censor them. I don’t agree with all the deleting of comments. Honestly, any normal thinking person knows the comment is wrong. Why we need someone deleting it is beyond me.

The sex topic doesn't seem to be moderated at all. It's full of pervs and trolls.

But that’s not the point. Otherwise I can write whatever I want here, I can give whatever opinion I want, and as long as people push back then that comment will remain. Literally no comment would ever be deleted under that policy.

I mean can’t you all just do a pile on and tell her she’s wrong? Why does it need removing. She sounds stupid and her words should remain for all to see.

Where is the comment? If lots of us report it they might act sooner. It’s also probably worth leaving a message for the night watchers as mnhq are probably not working atm.

Have you reported that comment? I have, just now, so we’ll see how long it stays up. I have (in the past) reported a comment three times before it finally got deleted, and I’ll be back here if needed.
