Why has MN changed colour?

It's awful! About 10 mins ago I refreshed a page and the blue banners changed to a much brighter shade, and the OP is highlighted in grey instead of green, and I hate it. It's too bright. What's happening??

Galaxy A55, latest version of Chrome.

There is the option to change the OP colour and your own post colour in your settings if you want to play around with it https://www.mumsnet.com/settings/talk

So, MN can put big buttons on posts to say that it is the OP/my post (why?), but they can't figure out a solution to Zombie threads - and STILL they can't fix the issue with Active always going back to the top of the page

You can, but you can't get the old colours back.

Also, the screen sort of flares or flashes when scrolling.

And who needs OP & 'My posts' to be written above every relevant post? The colours were to make them easy to spot - not that that works now because they're too similar, leaving out the bilious orange & the MNHQ blue.

This is really making things worse, not better.

It's giving me migraine. I'm going to have to leave.
It's as bad as the Ravelry rebrand. That was actually triggering fits in people with epilepsy. It gave me a 12 day headache.

I can't be doing with all these icky old lady pastels. It's disgusting.

I had customised colours and I liked it like that, thanks. This shade of bright blue is fucking horrific!

I did also so no need for so need.

Was that not available for everyone?

My own posts used to be highlighted in purple. I don't have good eyesight so this was a good standout colour. Now it's changed to pale pink and the choice of other colours are all pale.
Also I don't want to see the OP's posts highlighted.

MNHQ for goodness sake please consider your posters before you make more unwanted unnecessary changes.

The old navy and sage green were iconic, why change them to this neon cornflower shade? If it's not broken don't fix it..there are other areas you could have focused on improving instead 🙏

MN, why haven't you given a better choice of colours in settings? At least give us the choice of two 'old style' colours instead of the range of too-similar ones which we're now forced to choose from. And no way is 'magenta' magenta on my screen. It's sickly pale orange.

Why on earth did you do this? Who would've asked for these exact colours? What did you ask in your survey?

It really is crazily bright.
Maybe it's to deter us all from late-night MNing? It would keep us all awake so we have to log off early.

I actually hate it, it's uncomfortably bright. And I have my blue light filter on, and my screen brightness very low already.
