Why is everything so slow to load?

Mine still doesn’t load half the time. Just a blank page. It’s blank adverts too. Just nothing. Poor.

Afternoon, everyone. Just an update on this. We were aware that the site seemed to be running a bit slowly on the 21st. There was no discernible reason for that that we were able to see - so nothing to worry about - and we haven't noticed any problems since then.

If you're still experiencing slowness it might be worth restarting your device and also checking how many posts per page you have set (check in settings for this). If you have them set to 100 posts per page or fewer that often runs better, particularly on very long threads.

I am finding it just starting to glitch a bit/go slow/be slow to upload. Last 10 minutes or so..........

Oh, I'm glad I found this thread. I've had to keep logging back in, and when I searched site stuff in topics, it tells me,'You have to sign up for mumsnet Premium to see this topic'. Getting the same when I search telly addicts 😫 I've been looking forward to drinking wine & reading the Love is Blind thread. If anyone would be kind enough to link it for me, I'd be forever grateful 🙏

I haven't heard it since I was a kid and my lovely Irish grandmother would declare 'the dinner is banjaxed', because she'd burnt it 🤣😊

Mine has been like this all evening too but I just got a page saying they need to verify that I'm a human and now everything has sped up and it's all back to normal again.

Don't wanna jinx it, but mine appears to be back to normal too. (Has been for 5-6 minutes, but I didn't say in case it went funny again. Wanted to wait 10 minutes!)

Anyone else OK again? Is the app still banjaxed?! (Great word @JaneJeffer Grin)
