Board for high earners

As the prior keeper of a guinea pig called Philip (RIP) it is clear we need a board for keepers of GPs called Phil/ip.

Maybe mumsnet just need a non judgemental board about money matters. Any judgemental, snarky, shit stirring posters and their supply of tiny violins or comments like 'why have 4 children on a low wage' should be automatically banned!

Can we also have one for gingers? Not necessarily rich ones, just ginger???

I think a lot of it also depends on which board you are posting on. If people are posing "Is it possible to contribute £5k a month towards my pension" in 'Money Matters' alongside someone who's worried they are going to lose their home, or someone who has just been denied PIP, yes some people might think it's a bit distasteful.

Agree. The HENRY and the FIRE boards are actually really useful for higher earners, and they do to some extent help with female-specific issues, although I reckon they're 95% men.

As shown here you really will get no sense on Mumsnet without a separate board! And I think it's fairly safe to say that we won't get a separate board, so just adapt accordingly.

Equally people post questions about struggling financially and get told "why did you have children"/ "just move 300 miles and find another job" etc etc.

I think mumsnet should crack down on those posts too, they're horrible.

There almost certainly are sites where high earners talk to other high earners about things that effect them. I'm sure true high earners can find them.

It was obviously much higher than some expected and then the tone of the thread changed dramatically. Some people are just arses.

Reddit is far better if you have questions about finances, investing, FIRE, for high earners etc. It is male dominated but far friendlier.

Impossible to ask a question about ISAs, second home, investments, private school etc without being shot down by sarcastic and unhelpful comments.

The sad thing is that when people post about anything like this, they get a load of snarky responses. If they didn't, this board wouldn't be being requested.
