@ not working properly

Is anyone else have problems with the @ not working the way it should .
If I type @ then the first few letters of who I want to tag their name doesn't come up. The whole list does so I have to scroll through it.
Also the list of names isn't alphabetical, we'll it is sort of but in two or three separate sections .
I make sure there are no spaces

I am still having the same problem , also the display is still off kilter sometimes

Just testing to see if it still has problems by tagging @Noone

it still isn't working quite properly as you can see from this image.

There is a slight improvement because if you type the first few letters and the menu malfunctions as shown, if you tap away from the menu to another part of the screen and then click back onto the @ bit then IF those first few letters are unique on the thread, the option to tag the right person appears. However this is unreliable and prone to still not work on popular threads where there are lots of posters and likely to be more than one poster starting with the same few letters. @NoOneKnowsWhoYouAre I successfully tagged you using this method. But it's still a pain.

@NoOneKnowsWhoYouAre please could you email a screenrecording of this issue over to contactus@mumsnet.com, FAO Lily? We'd really like to see it as it happens, as it may help us replicate the problem.

Hi @ScottBakula. Sorry for the delay - we've been chasing this one up but yes, the alphabetical list thing is now fixed. We're still working on the other issue. Is it still bringing up all the names when you type '@'?

For me it brings up all the names then when I type the first letter they all vanish. Also on samsung s24 on the latest app

Oh I've been getting this too and keep forgetting to report it.

I am using the chrome browser on a samsung android too. It worked up till a few weeks ago.

(Side issue. I came to Site Stuff to see if there was a "testing" thread I could do this on in order to check something. Please ignore the following emojis:

Ah yes I'm using the app but just tried on safari and it seems ok but is searching for the letters within the username if that makes sense rather than the start of the username.

Example a thread I'm on I type @ps and the results came up as someone with a username with ps within it rather than beginning with ps

So results could be were chips and pseudonyms when I'd usually expect it to only bring up those with names beginning with ps

Maybe it's always been like this 🤷‍♀️

Seems to be working fine on Apple if that helps to narrow down the problem.

Not sure but it does seem like a odd coincidence.
Mine is a galaxy A12 ( so a oldish phone ) how about yours ?
