Banner advert in the app

Hi MNHQ,

There's a banner ad appearing in the ap (at the top) that makes the app visually really annoying to navigate. Will it be there permanently? It would be less bad at the bottom! Thanks!

I've got the MN 'Love to share your opinion' thing, which also appears as the ad part way through scrolling for me at the moment.

My opinion is I don't want anything taking up screen space, having the ad once is more than enough thanks.

I have it on my iPhone. Really irritating as it keeps moving while I'm trying to read.
I pressed the little x to get rid of it but it was promptly replaced by a different ad.

I have noticed this- it also slows everything down - some threads won't open. On my phone the app has crashed and randomly closed down three times. Really annoying!

Yes - it's very annoying and makes it much less readable.

Sorry to hear this. Please can you tell us a bit more about the ad you're seeing - if you can provide a screenshot, that would be very helpful.

Can you also let us know if you're using the android or iOS app (and if it's the iOS, whether you have the latest version installed - a new version was released yesterday).
