Hello HQ please can we chat about a particular phrase

Please would you consider adding the phrase 'child porn/ child pornography' to the proscribed list.

Images of child abuse.

Many people do not yet know the other phrase is an issue. It would be a great way to publicise it.

Child pornography - abuse of course - is a term that has a specific meaning and widely used eg court reports. I can't see why the term, inter alia, would be problematic in itself.

I fully agree re 'kidde porn'.

I write court reports and my agency do not use the term 'child porn/ography'. It is viewed as unacceptable by my profession.

Excellent idea. I thought everybody knew that those phrases were unacceptable and why, but clearly not, based on some posts on a now deleted thread today.

It is very upsetting seeing someone dismiss discussion about images of child abuse with a cutesy little throwaway.

This is Mumsnet, by parents, for parents, after all.
