Pregnant people?! It's 'women'

Obviously women are people. But sometimes using the word 'person/people' instead of 'woman/women' totally changes the overall feel of a sentence.

For example
"Only 1/3 of the people in my house have managed a successful pregnancy" feels very different to "100% of the women in my house have managed a successful pregnancy"

I’m in two minds about this. I personally prefer being described as a person rather than a woman, generally speaking. But I appreciate others feel very strongly the other way.

Also, it’s not only women who can become pregnant. Obviously pregnancy in humans is only possible for females. But pregnant female just sounds wrong, and of course it is possible (if undesirable) for girls to become pregnant.

Every single human ever born came out of a woman. It's not complicated.

Only a woman can get pregnant.

And many of these people are able to reproduce if they stop taking cross sex hormones. Unless they've been led down a pathway as children by people they thought they could trust and have made life altering choices when far too young.

Until the "trans man" starts telling me how I have to think about my own sex, my rights etc, because it suits their agenda, I have no need to do so. When they do start telling other people what they are allowed to think, and claiming to be something they aren't and therefore men can have babies and no one can reference pregnancy as a wholly female experience, well they're going to find out that not everyone subscribes to their worldview.

Ok. Do you not think it's generally rude to point out to someone in real life in a conversation biological realities, like, say, their inability to reproduce? Or inform a transman that they aren't actually a man though are they? Are you someone who tells it like it is?

I'm not offended by being called a person. 'Pregnant ladies' on the other hand really grinds my gears.

the terrible "rudeness" you perceived on the thread and complained about, was someone acknowledging the reality of biological sex. That "trans men" are not actual men, and can only get pregnant because they are biological women. Because only women can get pregnant

What has been really interesting on this thread is reading people putting words into my mouth and their incorrect interpretation of what my opinion is. Insulting me while saying I am insulting others. I'm fascinated and can't tear myself away.

And if you were adopted, her life as a female was defined by her inability as a female to reproduce. Her experiences related to her body would have been fairly related to reproductive expectations. In a way that no male would be subjected to.
