can someone explain this emotion to me please

i used it yesterday in the hmmm will need to think about this contxt and got told off.
so can someone explain it to me please.

Well it says sceptical which is how I take it generally, as in the poster doesn't quite believe what's being said.

It can depend in what context you use it. It can seem sarky or questioning sometimes.

I think it's a 'sceptical' hmm - not an 'I'm thinking' type hmm. But you should use use it as you see fit. Stick two fingers up at 'em 2shoes.
