Hi WWW, Sounds like what you need to do is:

Click mumsnet classic. This resets you to unlimited messages per page, and most recent first order. Then, on that same page, On that same page, flip the order selector box to "book style" and click save at the bottom of the page.

Then you'll have old mn, except that the op will be at the top of the page and the thread will read down the page, but all messages on one page. Is this what you are after?

Ooooh, all is well, I have customized and now happy.

Though, slight confusion - why do ALL the smilies have halloween hats - does this usually happen, was most confused to see posts in Sep with halloween hats - am I just unobservant?

Go to Customize Active convos.

You can ignore any category you want. Even antenatal, swapshops

Good housekeeping if yo really want.

I have been able to set my default as flipped - tech you stud muffin geek, you are fab

But I am sure that the colour has changed even though I chose classic??

can't find a positive thread to post on, so here is a positive comment. which may be pure coincidence: MN is finally running click fast for me. After years of delay before loading threads, it's now like a hot knife through butter.

Another thought tech, maybe there should be a huuuuuge "RETURN TO MUMSNET CLASSIC" button somewhere prominent in red for any panickers?
