Don't think a lot of people on MN are very welcoming to posters who've joined recently.................

do posters who've been here a few years think they are more "important" than newer posters?

no one who posts here owns the site, but reading some posts I feel certain oldies think they have a share in MN or something

you haven't ladies!!!

each post is as valid as the next and new poeple joining should be made welcome, unless they post something which goes against the MN rules

no but there have been some nutters posting who, quite rightly, have been outed as nutters.

that's the joy of mumsnet. we don't tip toe around each other, you express an opinion, whether everyone agrees or not is a different matter. It's not personal

from what i have seen of this 'unwelcoming' attitude

it seems to be directed at posters who seem to have joined with the sole purpose of telling everyone who doesn;t agree with them re the Madelaine McCann campaign, that they are selfish, thoughtless, self centred, and just plain wrong.

so , if i am wrong about that, please do show me where new people have been made to feel unwelcome

people who have posted here for a long time do feel loyalty to this site and its ethos, and to have new people join specifically to slag off mumsnetters, i think they are right to be annoyed.

not all posts are as valid as the next, the one calling us all selfish thougthless Bs was not valid or welcome in my opinion.
