Everyone can still see your profile, just not your pics. It does work. You can make it so no one can see or all MN members can see, or only your MNMates. And you can add to the list whomever you choose.

Colditz, if it's cliquey then you're in the click cos you were the first one on my List

The point of it is if you don't want the world and everyone in it to see your picture, to protect anonymity, you can still allow those you know really well to see them.

I think the mumsnet mates thing was so you can only invite certain people to be allowed to look at your photies/profile

but I don't think it was ever activated as everyone got a bit oomphy about it. As people might be upset if they twigged they weren't one of Your Mates and couldn't look at your profile

sorry no, ucm, i'm like the littlest hobo. there's a voice, that keeps on calling me. down the road, that's where i'll always be. every stop i make, i'll make a new friend, cand stay for long, turn around i'm gone again...maybe tomorrow etc

I think it's a list you can put your fave posters on and only they can see your profile IIRC.

it is a facility where you can only allow your 'mates' to see your profile. I have 5 mates on mine. Although I don't think they know they are my 'mates'
