Hands up who actually really honestly doesn't like the controversial threads on here

Controversial is interesting as long as it's intelligent debate. Once we degenerate into name calling, bitchiness, bullying, accusations of bullying, threats to flounce, complaints about cleaks and how it all used to be so much better in the old days...

... then it's REALLY GOOD!!!

Just kidding. Then I go and read something more interesting.

i've stopped clicking on threads i know will explode as it's a waste of time posting... no-one pays any attention to anything anyonwe else says

we're not counting 'huge mistake' type threads are we?

Don't mind controversy.
Don't like aggressive or insulting responses.
I think it is possible to post on a thread with a controversial subject matter, without resorting to unpleasantness.

they are good for the first 200 posts then you have to spend hours scrolling up and down to see if someone really said that....

me. I rarely look at weaning, breast and bottle feeding. I don;t have babies anymore so I don;t actually find it that interesting

Me. I keep well clear. Never post on them because they usually turn out nasty. Hardly ever read them. I just don't want to get involved. I feel like I miss out on a fair bit that way, though being as there are a lot of them on MN!

They really, really annoy me. Pig me off no end.

me, hate the name calling and flouncing. They are compulsive to watch but too scary to join in IMHO
