From WWW on the moon landing hoax thread...

"pmsl at 'rocket science isn't that complicated' ! oh so it's like that other stupifyingly simple trade, brain surgery, then?"

OP posts:
AbbyMumsnet · 31/01/2007 21:24

Of course you're all out now, waving your quotes of the week at me. Where were you this morning, eh?

I've chosen one. You better like it.

Please though, it would help if you could remember this little part of the site that I like to think of as my own. Post those links to funny quotes as and when they appear. Then I won't be rummaging around in the bottom of the bag of a Wednesday morning. No blooming good posting them now though. So hold back. Until next week.

I feel better for that.

Monkeytrousers · 31/01/2007 21:24

He does look like a leprechaun

morningpaper · 31/01/2007 21:20

Maybe he lives in a small burrow underneath Trafalgar Square?

harpsichordcarrier · 31/01/2007 21:19

hey! I once saw Hislop at Charing Cross on the underground platform.
in a rumpled white suit.
do you think he lives there??

IntergalacticWalrus · 31/01/2007 21:17

Is 3 inches of that his forehead, mp?

morningpaper · 31/01/2007 21:16

I'm sure it is just a matter of time before I am snapped up by Mr Hislop.

I saw him on Charing Cross Station once. He was only four inches high.

Monkeytrousers · 31/01/2007 21:14

Was that ever quote of the week BTW?

Monkeytrousers · 31/01/2007 21:13

MP, are you not writing for Private Eye now after your biting satire re rockets from Lebannon?

morningpaper · 31/01/2007 21:12

heheeheh very good rusty

RustyBear · 31/01/2007 21:11

I'd like to nominate lissielou's comment on her recent tests
"fecking dh is worried about his tests. he gets free sanctioned porn and i get some spotty doogie howser saying relax mrs w while in a position where he really should use my 1st name" from this thread.

WideWebWitch · 31/01/2007 21:10

I liked Mb on the readers wives thread:

The face thing was regestering shock btw, not showing what she must have looked like!
By martianbishop on Wed 31-Jan-07 20:19:50
How the flock do you find out that you can pee into your own mouth?????

How bored do you have to be to think, 'I know, I'm going to see if I can have a slash into my own mouth!' ???

morningpaper · 31/01/2007 21:08

(I keep wanting to say "Roly-Poly aware" which is how I feel when I open the fridge)

morningpaper · 31/01/2007 21:07

Oh this made me smile, DetentionGrrrl on being "Poly aware" etc:

"I've been tied up and slapped in my time. And loved it."

morningpaper · 31/01/2007 21:05

I really liked this, it's very Mumsnet, Moondog on Processed Food:

"My inner voice is always saying
'Has anybody buggered about with this?' If the answer is yes, I put it back."

too serious though

morningpaper · 31/01/2007 21:01

I've seen some funny ones this week

Let me locate them

UnquietDad · 31/01/2007 20:57

I nominate this from ludaloo:

"do you notice that when a thread comes up even vaguely related to sex...all the blokes come out...[rolling eyes emoticon]

Where were you all when I needed a chocolate cake recipe eh??"

AbbyMumsnet · 31/01/2007 20:49

That's a good one - found another that tickled me pink though, and another... bit like buses aren't they?

belgo · 31/01/2007 14:48

This quote from 'Charmkin':

'i can drive a car
ia hve given birth to 2 kids
i have a resposnible job
i am grade 7 piano
i make the most amazing white choc and rasp cheescake

OK

this has beaten me
Links YOU ARE MY NEMESIS'

from this thread

SlightlyMadScientist · 30/01/2007 15:18

...well if I do have to pick a specific quote...

how about one of these, or are they all a little too far 'below the belt'

kittylette on Tue 30-Jan-07 14:12:53

escapee clitoris, pmsl

awful mental images of stripy prison jumpsuits and a ball and chain

IncognitoForThis on Tue 30-Jan-07 14:07:26

Well yes I suppose... but they don't really "pop out" do they... even when, well, provoked. And sorry but I don't find smears remotely arousing... although I am always disturbed by the vague feeling of being... (sorry).. 'fingered'.. but by a metal car jack thing.. and without the pleasure!

Something else to worry about now though.. escaped boatmen!

TrinityRhino on Tue 30-Jan-07 14:00:38

at the moment huge armies could hide in it, tarzan could swing off it.... honestly I could plait it, it's horrid

SlightlyMadScientist · 30/01/2007 15:13

Can we have a thread of the week please

MamaGstring · 30/01/2007 13:00

this thread

By sunnywong on Wed 24-Jan-07 12:44:53
I'll take my mingers over and you bring your Winston Churchill/bald with headband babies

AbbyMumsnet · 30/01/2007 12:54

It's that time again.

AbbyMumsnet · 24/01/2007 16:31

Thank you my dears, I sort of settled for half-way when it came to humour v obscenity... as tomorrow's newsletter will attest.

tortoiseSHELL · 24/01/2007 13:58

I think this one on the thread on 'In the news' about the 3 year old who was thrown off a plane.

HumphreyCushion on Tue 23-Jan-07 20:10:47

Easy way to get free tickets, plus the roundtrip tickets though!
Anyone know if you can still get hold of blue Smarties? - give a few of those to your child, plus a can of coke or two.
Bingo - free tickets!

lulumama · 24/01/2007 13:39

blardy hell ! porky minge
