MN making safari crash?

DishwasherDogs · 17/03/2015 10:27

Every time I have been on Mn this morning it keeps crashing safari.
It doesn't do it on any other website.
I'm using an iPad.
Any ideas what's going on or how I can fix it?

Same here, its getting very annoying. Why is it taking so long to fix?

Halsall · 13/04/2015 08:35

Still happening here. It's been well over a month. Exactly the same error messages as TheBrokenDrum, although 'reloading page as there was a problem' is happening very slightly less often.

I thought a couple of days ago that it might finally have been resolved, but nope, started getting 'cannot parse response' again.

It's particularly terrible trying to pick up any Threads I'm On. One thread especially just does not want to load and all I can do us open a new window and start again.

Massively fed-up with it now.

NeedABumChange · 12/04/2015 22:30

This happens to me, on my ipad. It is exclusive to mumsnet and I do probably spend more time on other websites.

TheBrokenDrum · 12/04/2015 22:22

It improved for a while but is now as bad as ever. Absolutely frustrating!

'Cannot parse response' is the phrase for today, along with 'there was a problem loading this page'

I know you're working on this MN, and thank you Thanks but fgs get tech to work harder! ;)

After, what? A month of this. I have Given. Up using MN on my phone.

This should mean I will get a bit more work done when I go back this week, but it's annoying nonetheless.

Passmethecrisps · 12/04/2015 20:31

Oh. Just seen this. I have an iPhone and have found that threads I am on as a bookmark is crashing Safari but if I navigate to mumsnet first then to threads I am on it works. Just noticed this today

Stoatystoat · 12/04/2015 18:46

It's getting worse I'm finding. Sort it out!!

cuphat · 12/04/2015 08:44

Just to add to the confusion, mn is working fine for me. I'm on an old version of safari (version 6) on an old ipad (2).

On one occasion facebook crashed safari for a couple of hours but I deleted cookies and switched my ipad off and on and it was fine again.

CatWomantotheRescue · 12/04/2015 08:24

It's happening to me as well on Atomic web browser as well as Safari on my iPad. Good to see this thread as I was afraid my iPad was giving up the ghost.

GibberingFlapdoodle · 12/04/2015 08:04

Have updated knowingly now, and it seems a lot better. My home IT support says that might just be with having rebooted it though. He suspects a link with low memory devices. If that helps anyone.

Still happening tome

RickOShay · 11/04/2015 12:46

Very frequent this morning.

bamboostalks · 10/04/2015 21:02

Terrible tonight.

NapoleonsNose · 10/04/2015 20:59

Mine has gone back to being terrible again. For the last week or so it's been only an odd crash - not ideal but better than it was - but tonight it's been awful. Took me three goes to actually get on to this thread!

Poofus · 10/04/2015 12:16

It seems much better this morning to me Confused Nothing has crashed for ages...

Moltenpink · 10/04/2015 10:16

Same here this morning Sad

GibberingFlapdoodle · 10/04/2015 08:20

I don't know what you/ Apple have done, but it's gone back to being appalling this morning for me. The issue never went away, but this morning I only need to click on the next page of a thread twice or post something before it crashes. It wasn't this bad yesterday evening.

Ipad and safari. Not updated anything at our end knowingly.

Same here :(

Chimchar · 09/04/2015 22:35

Bloody awful here tonight. Every time i change threads.

Poofus · 09/04/2015 10:00

God this is awful again this morning. I thought before that other webpages were doing it too occasionally, but I've just realised that it's only mumsnet. The reason other pages seemed to do it was because I had mumsnet open in another tab! It is so frustrating. It's currently about every third page I click which crashes.
