Those awful drop down pictures under the Mumsnet logo

It's cute! I actually like the pictures, I like the pregnant woman with the plaits, she's cute too. Just don't want to see her every time I move the mouse.

That dog is repulsive. Who thought that pic was suitable?

I would quite like the pictures themselves if they didn't keep bloody appearing when I'm trying to click over something else. I think it's because the MN design team have super whizzy mega computers and many of us have ancient versions of Windows so response to a click lags a few seconds behind speed of scrolling

God yes infuriating, both the drop-downs per se and the hideous pictures.

Worst thing is the pictures. Don't care for the mega menus either, BUT if they have to stay, it would be wonderful to never see the pictures again :-)

I'm bored of the pics as they've been the same for ages.
And I dislike the drop down menus as if I want them, then I'll click on them and wait for the page to load. If I don't want them and they appear as I click, then I have to wait for the page to load then go back and wait for that page before finally waiting for the page that I originally wanted.

I'm glad it's not just me.

Yeah this has driven me crazy for ages. It's not the images, it's the fact that they drop down all the time when I don't want them, then obscure the entire page I'm trying to look at.

Please can they be set to only appear when clicked on, not on hover-over?

They are seriously the most irritating thing abut this site. I have sometimes even had to go off the site because I had been caught once too often in one session.

I can really see no purpose to them being so sensitive other than they are someones vanity project and must remain despite the storm of protests about them. Of course they are in the most irritating place possible.It has to be deliberate .

Im going to have to stop thinking about this because otherwise I will end up infuriating myself into doing a flounce .And then what would I do with all those hours I gain?

The pictures are intensely annoying, but even without them, the dropdown thing is terrible. PLEASE ditch it.

1 serve no purpose
2 too easy to scroll over by accident - irritating
3 images bloody awful - adds to irritation

Bin the lot.

It's the drop down menu for me! I have been meaning to grumble about it for ages and now someone has done it for me!!! Please sort it out!!

God, I was only thinking yesterday how much they still irritate me. But, we told (MNHQ) when they introduced them that they were annoying but they did nothing about them. The pregnant woman is the worst - that child must be about three years old now.

I often seem to click on the baby that looks like Jim Kerr without wanting to, and then I end up in Breast/Bottle Feeding. I haven't fed a baby since 2002.

I get pregnant water woman every single bloody time and end up clicking on her by accident about 90% of the time.

YY BIWI, it's being faced with them when you didn't even click that's so annoying.

no the pictures are annoying! fish faced woman and that baby that looks like a politician, get rid!

It's not so much the pictures, more the fact that if you're not very precise about where your cursor is, they drop down. Immensely irritating - and I remember everyone saying so when they were first added to the site.

There have been STORMS of protest over these images of the years. I have given up posting about them. HQ never EVER take anything on board.

Can we have some new ones at least. Plait water pregnant woman is really annoying and so is spaghetti dog. They seem to be the 2 I click on without meaning to the most.
