I hate them. Over and over again they appear when I'm about to click on something else and I click just fractionally too late and find myself on the breastfeeding topic or something else which is of no interest to me at all any more, thank god. Can't you get rid of them? Apart from anything else I am sick to death of the images, which I have seen millions of times each now.

Rant over! Smile

I'm hopeless at guessing ages but here goes. 25?

Would anyone like to guess her age? DP here says she should be in school! I don't think she's quite that young but what do you think?

AllMimsyWereTheBorogoves · 15/02/2015 15:03

She's having the same length of pregnancy as an elephant!

i'm sick to death of that stupid pregnant woman

Ditto here. We've seen far too much of her.

ImBatDog · 14/02/2015 21:05

i hate them, i've always hated them, they ought to be click-drop not hover-drop

i'm sick to death of that stupid pregnant woman gurning at me everytime i visit the site, i really am.

WorldWildWifeFund · 10/02/2015 20:11

Totally agree. I thought it was my poor cursor skills - or Windows 8 aaarghh!

tribpot · 10/02/2015 19:58

Was just thinking of this again today. They are incredibly irritating. Can't you modify the trigger for the menu to appear whilst awaiting this refresh?

ssd · 10/02/2015 19:58

I hate the fact if the cursor is on them they immediately drop down, major annoying!!

hate the pictures too, except the fed up looking baby, hes great.

Poofus · 10/02/2015 19:54

Please, yes, get rid of these. They are awful and obstructive.

RocknRollNerd · 02/02/2015 16:15

I think the trouble is that if you're multi-tabbing in firefox/chrome etc then if you go up to a new tab you inevitably trigger the bloody pictures on the way down to the main page.

I always think the pics look a little nethuns - all a bit too 'we're mad and crazy, just because we're parents doesn't mean we're not still COOL AND FUNNY xoxoxo'

TanteRose · 02/02/2015 15:25

I'm afraid I agree with everything they ^^ said

Oh good! Personally I rather liked Sparkling's first image, but there aren't many that stand up to being seen as often as these are.

@tribpot

Do MNHQ not know how to change the dropdown menus, is that the reason they don't it despite the threads asking for it?

Shock Flabbergasted that you'd suggest such a thing Shock

We do have plans for a navbar refresh in the not-so-faraway future and we will take your ahem suggestions, onboard. Perhaps not your first image Sparkling Wink

LoofahVanDross · 31/01/2015 23:20

catsofa · 31/01/2015 23:06

I believe I'm allowed 2 per week or something Sad.

catsofa · 31/01/2015 23:05

Pregnant women like vodka and tonic.

CuttedUpPear · 31/01/2015 22:54

I also inadvertently click on feeding baby.

The drop down thingies are just too BIG.

And I haven't fed a baby since the last century Angry

LoofahVanDross · 31/01/2015 22:37

Anyway why you are advertising a pregnant woman with a vodka and tonic in her hand i just do not know.

LoofahVanDross · 31/01/2015 22:35

poke your peace and love. just get rid. I am 50 i'm done with pregnancy and plaits, it is of no interest to me.

I get plait rage when i see it hovering.

@Mintyyssockie

Dawn What is the response from HQ to the face that we have had countless threads on this subject over the past two years or so and people are still complaining?

Mintyyssockie · 31/01/2015 21:37

I hate them with a passion. The drop down menus are an unnecessary pain in the arse -I can click my mouse if I want to. But the pictures, they make me want to throw things at the screen. I hate them all.

tribpot · 31/01/2015 21:31

I hate both. The pictures and the fact the fucking menus appear when you mouse over, which (given their location) is far too easy to do without meaning to.

Shitting awful. Just to be clear. I'm assuming the next major overhaul of the desktop site will be to optimise it for touch screens, in which case all this mouse over bollocks will need to go anyway.
