Would we be able to have a spiritual life board??

There seems to be quite a few mums here who like the alternative way of looking at life. several of us chat on threads about all different mediums and angles of spirituality. So far we have 7 or so threads going but it would be great to have different subject headings. It will hopefully attract more people as its not always easy to find like minded mums with this interest. Would love to know what you think. We also wnat to dispel the theory that you have to be a hippy to be spiritually inclined.

I mean the conversation about spirituality - not just about having conversation.
I am a fan of Melsy`s too.. we are not a mind altering sect - trying to steal her away
... in fact Melsy was the one who started all this - YAH Melsy.

I have read a book of Theodore Zeldin so was aware of his quote and like his work - he is not a spiritual writer btw

I agree with some of what you Coddy and others have said =..
lots of things about spiritualtiy etc comes across right zanny - but we are not trying to be fruitcakes.

No you see P thats is the differnce between us - it ould never occur to me to look upthe definition of a conversation! and I wouldnt see the point.

I just am a fan of Melsys!

Also I cannot recall us once having a dispute on the threads that have been created thus far.

Why would having a separate topic make it any more likely to deteriorate into an argument?? We've had arguments about all sorts of things under all sorts of topic headings

My vote is YES, give it a topic all of its own. I honestly don't see why anyone should object - after all, if all the "spiritual" stuff is under it's own topic, you won't stumble across it by accident. "other subjects" gets cluttered up with all sorts of inconsequential stuff and spiriruality is very important to some people.

Hi guys

Interesting discussion - we'll certainly consider starting a new topic - though we're slightly worried that there's a bit of scope for arguments/hurtful stuff/personal attacks, which as Melsy pointed out is not what she wanted at all - quite the opposite of what she was wanting to achieve. So the question is do folks think we need a whole new topic area or can spirituality / religion etc stuff be covered in Other Subjects?

You sound really eager to discuss this sort of stuff, and lots of people will read it and it may hekp them too.
