We've just had a Christmas invitation with the best spelling mistake ...

X and Y invite you to join them on xxx at xxxx for ..... Champagne and CANOPIES !!!

and it's PRINTED on a very nice stiffy for the mantlepiece !!

Ooooh Betty !! - always wanted to say that !!

Mercy a "stiffy" (in this context only !!) is a nice invitation on good card that doesn't fall over when you put it on the mantlepiece, telly whatever !!

I bet they spent ages trying to spell "hors d'oeuvres" as well and gave up and went for an easier option.

They're lovely - but going to their "other" house from Dec 1st ( taking kids out of school shocker !!) I move in exalted circles !!

I bet they just phoned it through and didn't proof read !!

Anyway - it'll be a good "do" I bet !!
