but is there any way to get rid of the witches' fingers cover image on that video for hallowe'en treats on the desktop site?

i know they are supposed to look horrible, but really they are extremely off-putting and making me feel rather ill. and i am not generally a squeamish person! so i have to scroll down past the video v quickly and try not to spend too long on the posts next to it

or should i just get over myself and stick to the mobile site until hallowe'en is over?

Well courtesy of adding the element to my adblocker I'm now blissfully witches-finger-free, and I do feel a bit silly, but it isn't really. If it was a picture of a huge hairy spider or one of those weird toads with holes all over their back we'd have a huge thread in here full of people complaining because it makes them come over all funny, and those things don't squick me out at all. This does, can I not say so :(

I know what you mean I had to squint and change pages asap. I HATE Halloween crud like that, makes me barf.
