Hi all,

As you know we have launched the new mobile site, we know it's a big change and we are still very keen to get it right with your help. This is very much a version that will evolve with your help as part of the testing process.

There have been a few glitches that have/are being ironed out and the HUGE thread has nearly maxed out, so we thought it best to start a shiny new one.

We know change is tricky but, as with most things MN, we are all ears and happy to look at any feedback you have on ways we can improve the new site.

I also have the problem with moving place is I switch to landscape (iPhone 4) but hadn't noticed because I never go landscape.

Rednoseclone Look in the little arrow at the top left of the page.

I personally think this is better. Once I got the hang of where everything was and all stuff worked.

My gripe of the day is that the differentiation in colour between threads I've not opened and threads I've already read has stopped resulting in my reopening threads I've already seen. Will this be returning at any point?

On the subject of banner ads moving, the Yahoo one I've got at the moment (Iphone 4, Safari) is static, but the car one I had earlier in the day changed images at 2 second intervals. I don't know whether that's something you've specifically changed since this morning. Whilst not an expert, I worry about bandwidth/battery with constantly moving ads.

Ooo I had the same issue with the jumping position when moving from landscape to portrait. I was reading the eerie stories thread an totally lost my place, so gave up.

I have an iPhone 4 with software that I updated yesterday.

The most annoying thing currently is that when my phone turns from portrait to landscape, it jumps up thread. This is fine and has always happened BUT when I turn it back to portrait, instead of adjusting back to the post I was upto (which it used to do!!!) it now jumps to a random place up thread and I have to scroll to find it.

The white is still not broken up enough to make it easy for my dyslexic brain to read - it is better than the stark white which had me unable to read at all, but still a bit of an effort and an eyestrain.

I agree aswell about the line and paragraph spacing - it looks double spaced! It's a forum not a thesis

and for you all, this must be a shitter to sort out...

Sorry to be 'computer says no' about it, but realistically we need to prioritise the device/OS/browser combos that most people use (which tend to be the more up to date versions).

I've been trying it on and off over the last few days, my biggest gripe is that on TIO you can't see the first few words of the last few posts like before and you can't go to the last post, it always takes you to the beginning. Unless I'm doing something wrong. It's a showstopper for me, I won't be using it unless that changes.

Hi WhoKnows, we're working on TIO at the mo, so hopefully it will be fixed soon.

Rowan , thanks for answering my question. I do understand there needs to be adverts , if they didn't move it wouldn't be so bad , also it take up a lot of space and creates a letter box affect, at least on an iphone screen.

When you say 'move', can you give a bit more detail (with device/browser/OS)?

My banner ad at the top is completely static (iPhone, Safari). Do you mean that yours isn't?

And how do you mark a thread you want to watch?

Had people actually complained about the old site? It was so easy and clear to use.

This version really doesn't work for me. I use an LG One phone with android. The screen is really small so when the top 1cm is taken up by adverts and the bottom 1cm by buttons, it doesn't leave me much reading space.
The old version seemed to fit so much more onto the screen. I think the text was smaller or the lines were closer together perhaps?

Anyway, this version is really hard to read. If you can't go back to the old version please can we have a really really basic version as well?

Bookmarking isn't working properly - when I click it in the drop down menu it is very slick and tells me it's bookmarked, but when I come back to the tread it doesn't take me to the bookmark iyswim? Just stays at the top of the thread.

Pictures- I just get a tiny white box and no way to close it!!
