suzy, justine is being interviewed on just about everything on telly and radio today. she is 'defending' mn's freespeech and we can't come off the board.

get onto the beeb online. something on Radio 2. the jeremy vine show is carrying a piece SOON. there are links to the fivelive.

Oh & that MN is like a giant pub, a melting pot of chat/debate, with MN as the publican (again, so just facilitating that debate rather than directly responsible for it).

I agree too zippi, it's just diverting attention from the real issue! I also guess that the odd comment like that (which was abviously just a bad joke) is not what was originally objected to but all the negative feedback.

SW - very like the C4 interview - saying that the law is at fault, & that individuals should be responsible for their postings, not the host website...erm, anyone remember anything else??

I thought the interviewer was very harsh and abrupt, (seemed to be on the otehr side).
I lol'd at Justine's likeness to a 'rowdy regular in a pub ' for morningpaper!!

i think the interviewers are being harsh because they have no comment or representation from you know who. they have to put her side for balance.
