MP,I was tthinking that too, do you think that this will bring back those that have bowed out in the past few weeks/months? Make them remember what a great place MN is!

Very strange that you can't leave comments on the Daily Mail article, maybe it is because the person who can't be named has wriiten for them in the past.

Incidentally, the quote about rockets was in the context of a thread about routines etc. - and someone who had never heard of popped in and said "What's so bad about anyway"

Morning girls - what a fab response from the papers, I left a comment on the mail article when there were 0 comments but now the link has gone and no comments were shown.

Oh fabulous irony.

After previous complaints from World Famous Author that mumsnet would confuse people because searching for World Famous Author's name would bring up mumsnet - when at the time mumsnet did not appear in the first 400 results - Mumsnet is now the FOURTH place result when you search for Said Author's name.

I have only seen this today and I am INCENSED.

I have been out to the garage and dug nobody's toddler book out of the bottom of the charity shop bag. I have now parcelled it up and am going to return it to the publishers this morning with an accompanying letter.

Letter states my outrage at the freedom of speech issue and requests my money back as i am not happy for anyone to make profits out of me while similtaneously (I'll check the sp before I send it!) behaving in a way which I find so morally repugnant.

I know I don't have a cat in hell's chance of getting a refund but if enough people do this it would make vermillion sit up and take notice.

Sorry you're in for all this crap MNHQ.

the ironic thing is, I defended nobody after that harpsichordcarrier post, saying you had to look at the context. nothing strips context like a lawyers letter now does it?

I am quoted in quite a few.
