"I joined mumsnet earlier this week after reading all your posts for about a year. Theres lots of good advice, fun, sadness, lots of laughs, problems, tips, arguments, discussions, help in abundnce and lots lots more. Every body has strong and differing oppinions and thoughts. Mumsnet is an excellent website for all these reasons and more. You all seem to have much more fun than other parenting web sites, I have laughed untill tears have run down my face and I have cried and thanked my lucky stars at what others have and are still going through. To me this is what mumsnet is all about."

I wanted to make sure as many people as possible got to read this great post from thekidsmum on another thread.

Welcome, thekidsmum, and thanks for the great reminder of what we are all here for

FioFio you just dont know who you are posting with on mumsnet.

JessaJam · 03/08/2006 11:59

Well done thekidsmum (and F&Z) for reminding MN what it is about!

Really do hope all this bolloxy stuff is just a symptom of the summer as people keep suggesting. Normally something kicks off then blows over, but at the moment past threads and disagreements seem to be hanging around like a big sulky smog...

fullmoonfiend · 03/08/2006 11:57

awww, feel all fuzzy and warm now...thanks thekidsmum, and F&Z for bringing it to a wider audience !

FullOfTestosterone · 03/08/2006 11:54

Tommy · 03/08/2006 09:46

absolutely - just what I was thinking but couldn't put it so eloquently

JackieNo · 03/08/2006 09:44

Sorry - meant to say - great quote thekidsmum .

JackieNo · 03/08/2006 09:35

Franklin Mint collectable plate, surely suzywong. Pay in instalments.

suzywong · 03/08/2006 09:33

My question is:
Will kidsmum's quote be issued on a laminated wall mountable placard, engraved round a scented candle or appear on a collectable wedgewood plate?

CheesyFeet · 03/08/2006 09:29

lol FioFio

So nice to read that quote, esp as I've seen quite a lot recently about people leaving and being fed up with Mumsnet. Have to say I also find Mumsnet fabulous and am sadly addicted to it... DH calls it "bloody Mumsnet", but secretly wishes Dadsnet existed... Mind you, then we just wouldn't communicate any more!

wilbur · 03/08/2006 09:08

Agree - and hello thekidsmum!

saggarmakersbottomknocker · 03/08/2006 09:06

Brill post thekidsmum.

FrannyandZooey · 03/08/2006 09:02

Oh it was Blu's thread, which doesn't make for quite such a heartwarming read as I recall.

Fantastic post

Thanks thekidsmum and F&Z - sometimes we need a kick up the 'arris to remind us what MN is all about.
