DD has just got her A levels results - she got 5 As and will be going to Exeter University to do Psychology.

Can't get hold of DH, as he's driving to work, so I have to tell you lot instead!

RustyBear · 15/08/2008 18:00

I know - I used to hate girls like that at school - now I'm the mother of one....

5 As and bloody gorgeous. I bet her friends hate her.

Milliways · 15/08/2008 17:12

Rusty - she will probably drop History (but may take up "Critical Thinking" which some schools do instead of General Studies.

mumeeee · 15/08/2008 11:11

Oh my niece is going to Exeter University. I think she is going to do a business degree but not sure, Haven't heard what her results were yet.

MarsLady · 15/08/2008 11:10

Well done that girl! You are right to be proud.

mumeeee · 15/08/2008 11:10

DD2 is taking agap ear and is going to try and do some more musical theatre stuff. Also get a job!
She then is hopeing to get into the The central school of Speech and Drama. University of London. To do an acting degree.

Twiglett · 14/08/2008 16:59

congratulations .. excellent results .. I hope she enjoys her time at uni

RustyBear · 14/08/2008 16:57

Well, one was General Studies, which they all have to do, the others were Psychology, History, Eng. Lit & Eng Lang - DD is interested in the psychology of language, which apparently she can do a module on at Exeter.
Keeping my fingers cfossed for your DCs swedes.
Milliways - it'd be odd if both our DDs ended up at the same uni, with our DSs going to the same school, wouldn't it?
What does your DD want to drop?

Congrats Rustygirl Just said hello on the other thread!

I have been walking around at work like a Cheshire cat grinning at DD's 5 A's - but they were AS not A2 level.

Ewe · 14/08/2008 15:58

Congrats to your DD - five that is AMAZING!

Swedes · 14/08/2008 15:54

Rusty - Congratulations to you both. Well done.

What subjects did she do?

I am waiting for DS1's A level Maths result result (taken 2 years early) - I should get it in the post tomorrow. DS is on a sailing course.

GCSE results next week.

RustyBear · 14/08/2008 12:17

So you've got to do it all again in a few years! At least I've only got their university exams to worry about now (DS will be in his final year at Warwick next year...)

My DS did one AS this year and he can't be bothered going into school to get the result. He figures he only has one more day to wait for it to come in the post tomorrow.

He will be picking up his GCSE results next week though.

Lilymaid · 14/08/2008 09:01

Fantastic news for your DD. Of course, she is going to the best university (as I believe you know!)
