Trinity/Whitgift/Dulwich College 10+/11+ 2021

Hello,

as mentioned countless times, I found the previous years' threads very useful, so it is now time to start this year's.

DS sat the 11+ reasoning test at DC yesterday. He'll sit the morning slot at trinity and we are awaiting confirmation of assessment date from Whitgift.

DS is remarkably relaxed so far. I, on the other hand, am a little apprehensive about the next few weeks.

How are everyone else's DSs feeling before "the storm"?

Our first offers started coming through. Yes to Royal Russell and a no from Caterham. My last lot of schools are tomorrow.

PeachesF · 09/02/2022 19:08

The wait is almost over. Good luck to everyone

Saragood · 09/02/2022 18:48

Good Luck Everyone 🤞

Radmumsie · 09/02/2022 11:50

Trinity will post offers tomorrow and email on Friday as well.

Radmumsie · 09/02/2022 10:08

Admissions at Whitgift have said by close of business Friday the 11th so I assume Friday is the day they send the outcomes.

W1980 · 09/02/2022 10:04

Yes definitely Friday.

Good Luck everyone, anyone with and interview waiting on an offer has got a very good chance. We have speculated on the numbers but no one really knows! It might be a lot more favourable and we have nothing to worry about….

@ExpulsoCorona

Whitgift says Friday 11th on their website
Right! I am just a bit too tired ;-)

Whitgift says Friday 11th on their website

effemme · 09/02/2022 09:23

Wrong! DC and W tomorrow and T on Friday! Good luck!

effemme · 08/02/2022 14:11

Good luck everyone! Cannot wait for the end of the week. Good to know emails come through so early in the morning so I won't need to check my emails during work all day long!
T and DC should be Thursday while W on Friday.

Really helpful MrsHGWells! The nerves...it’s so true and finding myself incredibly distracted and useless this week. Good luck to everyone.

Cantquitebelievewhatitscometo · 08/02/2022 09:38

Thanks heaps

MrsHGWells · 08/02/2022 08:49

Offer day last year Friday 12th. From
In our experience, all three schools offered well within advised timeline of midday, which in all honestly saved a day of hellish torture as my nerves were already shredded. Admissions teams equally want letters out for a Friday lunch away from ringing phones.

Cantquitebelievewhatitscometo · 08/02/2022 08:29

Hi MrsHGWells, thanks for that insight. Is that all 3 schools offer timeline expected on Friday or Thursday? Or a mix of days for various schools? Sorry to try to pin you down and I completely understand you can only comment on previous years, but the shattered remains of my nerves are reshattering this week. Thanks heaps

MrsHGWells · 08/02/2022 08:09

From experience last year offer timelines as follows:
W: ~8am email
T: ~8.30 am e-mail
DC ~ 10am email & 1st class post.

Webinars and offers day 22 - 27th with acceptances and deposits confirmed by 5th March.

northerngoldilocks · 08/02/2022 08:08

Dulwich foundation schools send out offers on Thursday. Not sure whether DC will email or send by post though.

NYCtoPutney · 08/02/2022 07:33

Does anyone know when Dulwich College make their offers? And will it come by email?

MrsHGWells · 07/02/2022 22:33

All the best for this week, the end is in sight. Be prepared for early morning communications from
admin teams 11 am for emails, followed by HT / admissions chats and scholarship meetings booked in the following week or two.

RockaLock · 07/02/2022 17:47

Oh gosh, this week is the worst - I remember it well.

Good luck to everyone anxiously waiting for Friday!

suchnonsense · 07/02/2022 15:10

I'm hating this, particularly as other schools have already released their results. It's going to be a very long week!

W1980 · 07/02/2022 13:31

Friday here we come!!

Nelly2010 · 29/01/2022 15:39

Hi All, just wondering if anyone applied for a bursary for W 10+. If so, have they been in contact yet?

effemme · 28/01/2022 13:00

IU guess we just need to sit and wait .. still a long way to go!

suchnonsense · 28/01/2022 00:09

@Gladwhenitsover - same for us (on a Saturday) - at least 9 interviews at a time, presumably all day. I read somewhere that W over-offer by 3:1 (because of the grammars as well as other independents) but that may be just rumour. You can drive yourself crazy with this!

Gladwhenitsover · 27/01/2022 22:59

The tables were just for waiting BTW, not for the actual interview
