How is school attendance being recorded?

I’m assuming all pupils aren’t being recorded as absent the rest of the year, am I right?

Savoy Cabbage - it doesn’t matter really. I’m just interested if they had ways of recording attendance in these circumstances without hindering a child’s attendance record

I’m surprised they are even bothering to mark key workers children in if they attend.

It’s strange that it’s necessary to record attendance at this point

Why does it matter now? There isn’t any attendance for the children who aren’t registered to attend and the key workers children are registered when they are there, which for most of them is not every day.

My dc’s school is making contact with them both every two weeks in case I’ve murdered them. The school is phoning me and asking to speak to each child.

I'm an education welfare officer. Same code as for school holidays, non school days.

I would guess it would just be recorded as school closed.
