Stowe School

I am thinking of sending my twins to Stowe School. Does anyone have up-to-date information or experiences with this school? TIA

Very good friend was going to send her 4 DC there but on visiting found that there was a large extremely wealthy international cohort (think Oligarch offspring) who had all the toys/holidays/attitude. It put her off and she chose Sherborne instead - said it feel reassuringly down to earth by comparison.
There was talk 18 months ago that Stowe were going to slash their day fees by 30% to lure back middle class families as it was aware that this wealthy elite was beginning to dominate.

I have friends that went to Stowe but that was in the days when boarding school was comparatively more affordable. They were happy and it is undeniably one of the most beautiful schools around!

My friends’ DD is there as she has been happy there. I do know that my DS has played the school at sports matches they were less than impressed with the attitude or ability of the Stowe boys.
