I've read through lots of chat re 2019 but can't see a 2020 10/11+ 2020 thread. How are your DS's getting on?

OP posts:

T11+ waitlist for us too. Offer from the other school DS interviewed at - T is his top choice though - so competitive this year.

chalkyc2 · 14/02/2020 12:42

T waitlist for us. Along with 2 other offers 1 with sports scholarship. T was DS first choice though - so sad and happy!

Adaryn · 14/02/2020 12:38

Sorry to anyone who's not had the news they were hoping for.

DS has offers for 10+ T and W. So pleased. Can't wait to tell him now.

piupiu · 14/02/2020 12:37

Postie just arrived!
DS has a T10+ offer with scholarship. He's going to be over the moon.

KillingEvenings · 14/02/2020 12:29

Quiet here too. I need to step out at some point for about a hour and I keep putting it off Hmm

jasmine372 · 14/02/2020 12:21

It’s very quiet on here ?!
Postman is late !!! Or maybe he isn’t coming today Hmm

Restl3ss · 14/02/2020 11:37

KandCa - Good luck to you and DS! This whole process is really hard. My DS will sit for 11+ next year and am already feeling the pressure!

KandCa · 14/02/2020 11:32

@Restl3ss, they did not say. HeadTeacher was very excited about DS when we saw him, the Sports assessment went really well, so we are really surprised with the outcome....

Not meant to be...

Restl3ss · 14/02/2020 11:18

That's brill! @ Jeez

KandC - Did you get an idea on how your DS did in the exams?

Jeezimacasalinga · 14/02/2020 11:16

Good luck everyone! DS has an offer from Whitgift and waiting list from Trinity - what a relief!!!

KillingEvenings · 14/02/2020 10:44

Sorry to hear that KandC. Hopefully your DS has some other good options? I'm sure he'll thrive wherever he is x

Nothing for us here yet. camped out by the door and trying unsuccessfully to focus on work...

Hampton1 · 14/02/2020 10:44

Really hoping he postman comes soon. I have to leave for work at 11.45. My husband is working from home today and he has threatened to take pictures of the envelopes (we are expecting the outcomes of 3 schools today) and send them every hour just to wind me up! He better not open though!!!

pinkpeony4 · 14/02/2020 10:31

Good luck to everyone for today. Our post comes at lunchtime...!

KandCa · 14/02/2020 10:27

I chased the mailmen down the road.... only to receive bad news. It is a No for us from our first choice. Not to be.

Frazzledmom · 14/02/2020 10:00

Postie's usually here by 10ish and he's not here now! Where is he?!!! Is he going to be late today of all days? My nerves are seriously frayed!

Adaryn · 14/02/2020 09:19

Fingers crossed for everyone! Wish the postman would hurry up!

nogoingbacktothefuture · 14/02/2020 09:10

I woke up feeling sick 😩😩😩
Hope everyone gets the news they are hoping for 🤞🤞🤞

BariSai · 14/02/2020 08:11

Meeee!!!
Most longest night everrr😬
All the best and hope everyone receives the new they want to hear!!!!

EccaMoldcan · 14/02/2020 07:54

Who else was dreaming about envelopes last night?!

KandCa · 13/02/2020 16:11

That is really good.that the schools send a letter for DS... That way he gets to open it...

Fingers crossed we will be in that position tommorrow! Will be stalking the doorbell camera for the post man LOL

Frazzledmom · 13/02/2020 15:32

So glad to finally be able to say tomorrow's here..

With all the nervousness it will bring...

Hope we all get the best news 🤞🤞

chalkyc2 · 13/02/2020 11:16

The T deciders tour is the 26th Feb.

Popgoestheweaz · 13/02/2020 11:06

National offer day is the 2nd and acceptance deadlines are Friday the 6th. I've noted that Emanuel has a noon deadline - not sure if others specify a time, but I'm sure that will be in offers pack.

Thank goodness I work from home on Friday so I can keep my eye on the letterbox. DH asks every few weeks when we should hear. Drives me bonkers! And even DS has opted for a playdate tomorrow and said he could wait until 5:30 for his news.

PiedImperial · 13/02/2020 10:30

Yes, the acceptance deadline is usually after the national state school offer day.

Very best of luck to everyone for tomorrow!

fishface1979 · 13/02/2020 10:25

We wouldn't hold on as realise that's unfair. My son just wants to go on a tour as he didn't join me last time - he's keen, despite that, though! Fingers crossed for everyone that they get the news they want and the kids end up in the right schools for them...
