I've read through lots of chat re 2019 but can't see a 2020 10/11+ 2020 thread. How are your DS's getting on?

@KandCa yes go in uniform if they have asked for it. My son did it last year. No they are not given lockers but everything will be kept secure and rooms locked. There is no need to bring anything valuable, you just need kit. W run a slick operation and are used to having people coming to the school and huge sporting events. To put it into perspective a couple of weeks ago it hosted hockey, football and rugby matches at home as well as an U16 and U18 indoor hockey tournament all on the same day. They have more than one changing room. Yes it’s a school day and the school will operate as normal as far as I’m aware. If boys move forward to the next round of assessments they don’t come in uniform as this round is quick. Good luck with it. My son had a brilliant day.

JustJuice187 · 20/01/2020 10:21

@Breathe10 - yes there are a few 10plus lurkers here - including me!

KandCa · 20/01/2020 10:11

Thanks @Yey22 . My DS is not doing swimming though but ok... are they given lockers to put their own stuff in? or how will it work since it is a school day and I am sure the changing rooms will be needed for the older boys...

Thanks!

Yey22 · 20/01/2020 08:56

@ KandCa last year my son went in uniform and changed as this was requested on the letter. He did swimming prior to breakfast on the day.

KandCa · 20/01/2020 08:33

Does anyone know if for the W Sports Scholarsip day they need to wear school.umiform or PE/games uniform? It does not make sense to me they going in in Uniform and then getting changed straight after....

T1000 · 19/01/2020 20:39

Yep, fingers and toes and all things crossable, crossed!

Filopusey · 19/01/2020 18:56

Trying to remain positive but it's seriously stressful - my son is a keen sportsmen and hoping for a scholarship assessment too. Fingers crossed for that call tomorrow.

T1000 · 19/01/2020 18:17

@Filopusey that's good to know

stillundecided · 19/01/2020 18:16

@Filopusey we haven't been called for a 13+ interview at Whitgift yet but I'm not concerned. There are several of my son's friends still waiting to hear. They interview a lot so it takes ages.

T1000 · 19/01/2020 18:14

We are still waiting to hear re W. We've already received a rejection from DC. It's agony.

Filopusey · 19/01/2020 17:13

Anyone else done 13+ at whitgift? Still heard nothing but lots from my sons school have already been invited for interview, anyone know the number of places, people sitting and number that they interview? Thanks

jasmine372 · 19/01/2020 09:33

@justjuice187
Thank you . Maybe I will call them if we don’t get anything tomorrow !
Maybe a whole flurry of emails will come out on Monday !

JustJuice187 · 19/01/2020 07:54

@jasmine372 - yes we have our music assessment next week

MissVal12 · 18/01/2020 18:11

That’s Amazing! My DS would be so happy there. He is desperately hoping for Trinity and he loves to sing.He got to final stage St Paul’s and Westminster Abbey and they didn’t take him a few years back.

EccaMoldcan · 18/01/2020 15:51

Thanks @LuluBellLondon, fingers crossed for you and your son - and anyone else still waiting.

LuluBellLondon · 18/01/2020 15:50

Got called for interview! Thank goodness this part of the wait is over.

jasmine372 · 18/01/2020 13:59

Has anyone doing 10plus been given a date for the music assessment yet ?

LuluBellLondon · 18/01/2020 13:49

Congratulations! What a relief for you!! I am pathetically, desperately waiting.

EccaMoldcan · 18/01/2020 13:45

@LuluBellLondon, literally just had call from T (when I saw the Croydon number, I nearly had a heart attack). Interview on Friday and will get sports email later today...but official interview emails won't come out until Monday now. Phew! My son is out so he doesn't know yet - he'll be delighted!

likethoughtsinsideadream · 18/01/2020 12:26

My DS did the trinity 11+ on Wednesday and we got an email from them last night. Thankfully positive. Son is very happy.
I still have no idea how many applied/interviewed/offered/places there are.

Thanks to everyone for making this thread btw.

EccaMoldcan · 18/01/2020 12:15

Thanks @LuluBellLondon, you too. I guess they have to notify the 11+ first as they have scholarship assessments on Monday...

LuluBellLondon · 18/01/2020 12:09

@EccaMoldcan Confused hopefully we hear today. I'll let you know if I do! Good luck to you!

EccaMoldcan · 18/01/2020 12:05

@LuluBellLondon, same here: my husband thinks I'm mad but I can't help it. I might be wrong about the numbers - I only saw 4 listed clearly, but there might well have been more.

LuluBellLondon · 18/01/2020 11:58

@EccaMoldcan the waiting is horrible. I'm refreshing my email every two minutes. I didn't realise so few did 10+ on Weds. my son had three in his room alone doing it so I assumed more!

@JustJuice187 did your DS do the 10+ Weds or was that the Saturday exam?

Adaryn · 18/01/2020 11:56

We've got a T 10+ interview on Wednesday morning
