oh that pleated skirt is pretty!

loving the price tag too.I was in the sewing shop today, she was hemming a huge meringue prom dress, and told me it had cost hundreds and they were payign £200 for alterations!!!!!

By contrast, ds suit, shirt, tie, and lovely leather shoes, total £170, and that is now his interview/wedding invite/smart occasion outfit and shoes. Not bad especially as he only ever wears trainers, so real smart leather shoes in size 13, in an actual shop, that he liked, was a bonus.
next week for our prom
hope those going tonight have a lovely time

Checking back after a short break - so much has happened since I was last on.....

Ooooh - Prom photo's starting, lovely dresses. We are on for tonight too. Weather looking good, it might even be "warm". Our venue is by a river, and the girls are going in by canal boats as no parking, so really grateful it is not raining, that would have been very grim.

Couple of girls coming here to dress, and we will drive them in to town, will try to post pic if I am technically able Grin.

No after prom invites, but DD has found out that she isn't the only one, so feels a teeny bit better. She needs to be up early tomorrow though, so every cloud etc.

Loving these beautiful prom dresses, I have 3 boys so no dress shopping for me but I love seeing the girls all dressed up. Will post suit pic and shoes later😂

Myrtle- sounds like Dd had a great time. What a lovely way to end the year, girl friendship groups can be a nightmare at this age! Thank you for posting the photos really was a big smile moment seeing them!
Rugby & marmite hope it all goes well for you both tonight! Pink hair sounds great funSmile. Rugby I have faith JL will refund!

ROA and shirt signing this morning, then prom tonight, can’t believe it’s the last time he’ll wear his school uniform, he’s going to another school for sixth form to join their sports academy where they study for A levels every morning for 4 days a week and train every afternoon with college league matches every Wednesday. Pre season fitness starts Monday.
Still wrangling with John Lewis over prom shoes!

Yes DD's prom is tomorrow. The pink hair is great, thank goodness and she is thrilled with it. I will put pics on tomorrow night. Just hoping the rain stays away. Smile

Pointy it is indeed a bittersweet visit but I hope you all get the chance to share some special memories.

What a gorgeous dress, she looks amazing! So glad she had a great night.

1 week to DD1's 6th form prom. 2 weeks to DD2's prom. And then we're on holiday!

This weekend we're going to Holland to go through my mum's house. Bittersweet, but we are going to spend time with family too.
