My DS passed his GCSE's at grade 4/5/6. He is going to study BTEC level 3 at a Further Education College. If he works hard this will mean he can progress to University (if this is what he wants to do). He is a kind,
caring person - we are proud of him.
There must be lots of other DC's just like my son who are rarely mentioned on Mums Net because they do not achieve 7/8/9. All those young people going onto level 2/BTEC/A level with what Mums Net would consider very 'average' grades but with the potential of a very bright future.

@Teaonthelawn I completely agree! My DS is not academic and unfortunately didn't get back into his schools 6th form. But I am so proud of him. He's bright, articulate, kind and has achieved so much. He's adamant he doesn't want to join any school or college though, just an apprenticeship.

That's brilliant. You're right to be proud.
