Dd is in Year 10 and this year her internal end of year exams are quite early, starting on 19th May.

School have recommended 2 hours of revision per day but so far dd has done very little. I'm fed up of nagging to be met with eye rolls Hmm

How much are your dc doing?

Another teacher here. Yes FGS let him doss.

It will matter next year. This year it really (really) doesn't. Kids get nagged and bullied into revision enough, the easter holidays when you're 14/15 are not the time for it.

My year 10 is dossing. He'll do homework this weekend Sunday ready for school on Monday. No controlled assessments or anything that actually counts coming up so he may as well relax. Suggest you quit nagging tbh.

So if no 'proper' GCSEs this year you think it's ok to doss away the Easter holidays?

Ds has part of a Spanish GCSE next week, and a Statistics GCSE in June. He's doing an average of about 45 minutes a day. He also has some homework which I don't think he's touched.

Maths in a high-achieving state school.

Y11, 12 and 13 are the ones we spend cajoling to work through the holidays because their exams actually count. Y10 internal exams I'd be pleased if they did some revision in the weeks before the exams. I've not even started thinking about them yet!

Really, what do you teach noble?

I'm not expecting my Y10 class to have done anything over Easter.
