summer yes I think the ocr grade boundaries are quite bad. I have already started on the Wine that is how bad I am feeling.

Thanks FantaSea - I'm looking at AQA.

FantaSea · 13/08/2014 12:42

yellow what board are you looking at? If the figure under 'A' is 35 for the raw score that means if you have 35 or more raw marks in the exam (out of whatever) then you will have an A.

HP oh dear, that is so high for an A. DD is ocr and the grade boundaries look higher than I was hoping for. Good luck to your DD too.

HPparent · 13/08/2014 12:38

Not good, a2 edexcel are 69/61 for an A. The first paper was harder than last year and the second undoable. Looks like the AS which DD resat is on the high side as well.

Fingers crossed for your DD tomorrow Fantasea.

YellowStripe · 13/08/2014 12:37

Can someone explain what I'm seeing on the grade boundaries tables please?!

For example if the figure for Physics, under 'A', is 35 .... ?

HPparent · 13/08/2014 12:19

Oh s*, thanks queen will have a look Shock

FantaSea · 13/08/2014 11:56

HP hello Smile

I have had a look at the ocr grade boundaries for the chemistry and it has made me feel worse, but I haven't told DD I have looked as I don't want her to be more worried than she already is. I am just praying that she has scraped a C, I know that sounds low to a lot of people, but for her that would be a real achievement. I feel sick just thinking about it.

queenofthemountain · 13/08/2014 11:27

The grade boundaries are out now Hpparent

HPparent · 13/08/2014 11:16

Hi summerdip and Fantasea. DD has been a bit distracted by work experience. I think she is going to school early tmrw so she doesn't have to see anyone!!! Anyway, I have thought out plan B, C etc if the worst scenario happens and a chemistry resit is required. Not sure if I should look at the chemistry grade boundaries online first thing - might freak out. At least she is on a gap year - so whatever happens her plans for next year are not completely ruined.

Hello summer I remember you from the support thread Smile . DD has hers tomorrow and is feeling very worried. I have got to the point where I just want to know now, we have had endless discussions about what I think she has got in various modules and it is all so stressful. Not knowing is the worst thing.
