DD really struggled at school and was very disruptive within the classroom and school have said she is not allowed back next term they also let all the local colleges know and they are refusing to allow DD on to any courses, i know a 16 and a half yr old girl will not be employed and i only can get 15 hrs work a week on just over £6 per hour so i need tax credits to feed DD i know most people on here want there kids to go to univirsity i just want my DD away from the streets at a job or on a college course . Can i appeal to the school to give DD another chance and what courses could you do with those grades.

What about an access course.

My dd did well at Gcse but is predicted U in AS levels so is leaving to do an access. Far less academic

What does your dd want to do career wise?

Unless you live in the back of beyond there must be more than 2 options for education ! Ring the local authority and get some information .

Jake Bullet. she has ADHD and struggles with concentration and when she gets frustated will swear at the teacher or other students. She was Excluded 3 times in the last 2 years and the school are just glad she has gone .When she went to the local colleg, The college asked to see her record and when they saw the 3 exclusions one for constant swearing at the Maths teacher, decided that DD was not welcome DD writing is not very clear and she struggles with capital letters in the right places.

I would look at college courses. Maybe she would be happier learning a trade rather than doing an academic course.
Did the school really tell local colleges not accept her, its awful.

Does your daughter have any kind of SN?
Can she read and write adequately?

It sounds like she has struggled massively with school for some reason. What help did she have to help her in school?

It might be worth googling Catch 22 who do lots of work with teenagers to see if they can offer her any support.

If she is in Y11 then she has to stay in education or training until the end of the year that she turns 17. Which means presumably that the LA has a duty to provide this for her. I'd get in contact with them and see what they propose.

I think you should go and talk to the school with dd about this.

They can't stop other colleges from accepting dd.

And your dd needs to wake up and realise she must sort this out or she is facing a really bad time, no money, no job, no education means not much of a future
