New Exams in 2017 - my DD will be taking the last GCSEs in 2016

Why does this worry and depress me?

I have DS taking the last GCSEs in 2016, then DD1 taking the first E-Bac (or whatever they're called) in 2017.

I'm not sure which I'm more worried about!
