Agree - this was not as straightforward as it looks! Blue was a completely different connection for me. So I would say it probably was BD.
Some funny NYT comments vis: "I'm just going to stop playing this game because it's terrible". lol. I do feel like that sometimes, but not today!

Like others, the green and yellows were difficult to separate, and I needed to see blue to get the 4th purple . Got there in the end !

I never understand the difficulty ratings. Some days they say it's 2/5 and I take ages, sometimes they say 5/5 and I breeze it.

I always like to look at the NYT comments section after a solve. They are not happy with greens and yellows.
