I actually think the Parseword clues are hard because usually in Minute Cryptic and the Times Quick Cryptic they do not use anagrams of synonyms - it's one or the other.

I might know what you mean. I used an indicator with a word, rather than just replacing it, as they both gave the same answer... Then I didn't have the indicator available to use elsewhere. I had to undo it to release the indicator. (Sorry if being too cryptic, don't want to give away too much while it is still live.) At least by then I had worked out the answer, so could see my error.
