Is anyone else a nervous wreck for the primary school admissions email to come out tomorrow, 16th April 2026? I’ve been a mess all day!!! Has anyone applied for schools in London?

I now can’t log into the portal.

ridiculous, and I don’t envisage an email being forthcoming.

It's either cos so many people r going on to check or maybe its a sign they r doing it now

Mines very slow too. I imagine everyone is trying to log on at the same time

Yes, as soon as I got in, we washed our hands and I went straight to login.

I guess what’s another five more minutes.

this is insane, they should really tell London applicants we have a working day extra to wait compared to others that have had their results known since midnight.

I’m freaking out, really scared to see what my sons got. Stuck between refreshing my emails every 10 mins and simultaneously not wanting to know 🫣

North London here still waiting and SO ANXIOUS! We only put 3 schools down and only 2 of those are walking distance.

Would be happy with either first 2 choices but the 1st choice is where he goes to nursery now so would just be easier, but I know it is usually oversubscribed!

Keep refreshing my emails like a madwoman 😅😫

Im counting down til I think it’s acceptable to have one 😂

I think it's definitely acceptable now 😂

DestituteDesperate · 16/04/2026 15:14

I’ve just left the office, an hour earlier than usual, going to get my son early too.

I’ve checked the portal and my junk and normal email; nothing yet.

itll take about 90mins all in to go from the office to the nursery to home - that should get me to 5 o clock so I can then celebrate (god willing) at home without looking like a looney tune in public hahaha.

Ilikeanimalsmorethanpeople · 16/04/2026 15:13

Its always 5pm somewhere!

In London as well and can’t wait! I think I’m very spoiled for choices in my area as 4 out of our six schools are outstanding and even the other 2 are lovely schools, so I know he would be fine in any of them. But I’m really hoping for the first choice for convenience!
