TBH - discussing the fanciability or otherwise of anyone famous is just fanciful and a bit of fun that's all.

Don't think it's worth disecting everything they have ever done, politically or otherwise.

Dittany - of course you didn't have to check out AC's behaviour, he is very well known, I was making a genral point that sometimes, regardless of what someone has done, believed blah blah, you can just 'fancy' them. We all come into contact with people every day that we find attractive and we can't ever know what their behaviour is/was because we will probably never get into bed with them! It's just an instinctive thing, a bit of a laugh!

BTW - I think even if he was the ordinary man on the street, I still would find him attractive - so there you go!

You know what the most attractive thing about him is? He's clearly not afraid of relationships with sharp, funny, feisty women, and he's been faithful to his partner for ever and I bet he gets tempting offers every single day. That makes him well sexy (in a fantasy kind of way obviously wouldn't go for a partnered up man in real life!)

I find him really sexy, was just thinking that this morning on the Politics show lol everybody sems to hate him too, he is a political rogue, but that makes him even more intruguing

I would still find him attractive intellectually if he were a 'man on the street' actually, more so probably.

He was interesting and informative as a political commentator during the election.

I think many people hate him because of the media picture of him , we do not know if it is all necessarily true. We don't all believe what the media tells us all the time, do we????? I certainly don't.

agree with dittany, if he was an ordinary man in the street, few would find him attractive. He has been built up by the media as some sort of Svengali and it is the image of arrogance and power that many find attractive. But I agree with dittany, a person's actions cannot be divorced from their attractiveness. Many factors go into attractiveness apart from looks or image, things such as morals, goodness, kindness, what people say and how they say it. There are some who find killers in prison attractive and write letters to them, but to most of us their actions, behaviour and conduct make them repellent.

But it's true, you don't have to want to shag someone to put an "X" in a box. Thankfully, I think most of us don't wield the mighty pencil of democracy on such grounds.

But I still do think the threads discussing the "fanciability" of celebrity persons funny. And kind of bonding.

Let's face it, if I started a thread on the local DILF, it would be a very short thread, because most mn-ers wouldn't have enough info to offer their thoughts ... .

Well I still think it's daft that one cannot find someone attractive without agreeing with their ideologies/politics. Especially from afar.

Do you check out everyone's politics and opinion on the war before deciding whether you'd shag them - virtually.

Apparently Mandy kept sending text messages to LDs from his Bberry to try to sure things up during the meeting.

I do agree re: sending in Campbell and Mandelson to negotiate with Clegg et al. Must have been hilarious being a fly on the wall.

Dittany- The LDs thought that Mandy was the one who could deliver it and they had good relations with him. But there were other people on both sides who saw it as an unsustainable/unstable coalition.

On Obama- those were not your words...but you were very very harsh on him. I think that he is proving to be, on his very short time in office, to be potentially the most sensible, sound president that they have had in my lifetime, even though he has to make pragmatic compromises. Early days, so let's see.

Dittany- I heard interviews with principal LD's who said Mandelson was the key figure in possible coalition but I realise that you are poking a bit of fun .

On morals, I know that you have the very highest standards after many debates with you arguing that Obama is one of the most corrupt American politicians (or similar) which I still disagree with

SambuccaKelly - i am agreeing with much of what you said above re; (flawed) brillaince of Mandelson and Campbell. The fact that they dedicated themselves to re-constructing the Labour party.
