Would a female BNP leader improve your opinion of them?

With talk of a leadership challenge against Nick Griffin, if a female member was to be elected as leader would your impression of the party be improved?

I would be amazed if Labour party members - i.e. not voters but card-carrying socialists - decided to support the Fascists because they didn't like Blair.

I was very much against Griffin's appearance on question Time - not because he is a vile man who preaches hate, but because it overstated his importance.

Yet in spite of that appearance; in spite of the disaffectation with mainstream politics; in spite of a higher public profile than they have ever had; in spite, most importantly, of secret ballots - this party of thugs, liars and drop outs could not even manage to attract 1.5% of the electorate.

I loathe them and acknowledge that this country would be a happier and better place without them - but whoever this new leader is, he or she is going to have to be extremely charismatic to manoeuvre the BNP from there to a position of a genuine threat. To quote Samuel Jackson in "Pulp Fiction" from memory, that's gotta be one charming motherfucker of a pig ...

MMMIFLAW. In 1997 the Labour party membership was 405,000 in 2008 it had fallen to 176,00 a huge drop, have these members become fed up with the Labour party , and some of them now vote BNP. Dpunk says, people don't UKIP even tho they address many of the grievances, she has because they don't have got the balls. I agree with Claig on another thread, I think they are a threat.

THAT is one of the main reasons why the BNP are doing so badly.

And, as I have mentioned elsewhere today, the German depression shit on ours from a great height, yet still the Nazis had to resort to intimidation and vote-rigging to get into power.

The BNP are vile, but they are far from being the real threat that the Nazis were, though I am sure they would love to think differently.

If the BNP elects someone who was remotley literate man or woman said the 'right'things and was as educated as Nick Griffin was, then this country is in trouble. The BNP did better than UKIP, although they polled over 500,000 votes and UKIP polled some 900,000 the BNP had less PPCs. As stated they cannot be ignored it would be neither wise and highly foolish to do that. The BNPs vote has risen from 47,000 votes in 2000 to over 500,000 in 2010.(according to the UAF, who do not put forward any solution) I would predict the vote will get much higher if we suffer any more cuts and end up like Greece. Hitler rode on the back of the German depression, to advance his plans. This could happen here.
