5 Year Fixed Term!! Means?

I have seen on the news that one of the new coalition points is a 5 year fixed term. Does that mean an election cant be called sooner if those coalition is a disaster?

It's good to indicate that this arrangement is going have longevity and it's better to have a fixed term rather than the 'will he, won't he' situation of a PM calling an election when they prefer. But, if the ruling coalition or PM gets a vote of no confidence in the House, there could be an election sooner.

If it's a real disaster they can. But it's a bit like marriage and til death do us part. There's the option of divorce but they agreed that they'll give it their best shot for as long as possible.
